Hi all,
Had decided to give this thread a wide birth due to some rude and obnoxious people on here only to discover that she has been insulting others on the General Chit Chat forum as well, maybe have to drop Justin a wee note asking to keep an eye on her posts.
Will continue reading with interest.

Hi
I am from Scotland and I do not understand the catalyst that started off this anger in this topic. I travel frequently to my home in Spain and understand that because of Ryan Airs problems with San Javier last year the winter flights to Murcia from Prestwich have not been published which probably means RA will only be flying to Alicante for the winter. However RA also have a dispute with Alicante and its airbridge charges so they have reduced flights to there as well.
I have read the topic again and someone from scotland made a "throwaway" remark about the airport situation and a war has started over nothing.
This forum is here to help people and has done now for many years and some people should remember that it is better for you to smile than to vent anger over a few misplaced (if indeed they were - open to interpretation) words.
have a good day

Back to the original question. Some are already out, they seem to release them in stages as opposed to all in one go, so Bournemouth has been out since July, I dont know how many more are yet but according to Ryanairs website they are normally all released by the end of August

RA I assume are playing it close to theri chest as usual.
Since the mayor of Murcia refused to pay RA the passenger landing fees or whatever it was called RA stopped using San Javier for the next season i.e. winter October to May last year.
For whatever reason RA have again it appears chosen not to use SJ this winter. Whether they start again in May 12 is a gamble you can take.
Again we have Corvera due to open next year and rumours say RA might change to that new airport because there may be concessions paid.
RA are also in dispute with Alicante due to be forced to use airbridges which cost them more in airport fees.
None of this helps us who frequently use RA and have found them in the past to be cost effective if you comply with their terms and conditions.
I know that personally to try and book summer flights in the high season as soon as possible then I have to use Easyjet to Alicante which are far more expensive.

Hi All,
I know we are talking about RA flights for 2012 but thought you all might find these comments very interesting from a neighbour of mine.
"flew home last night with Easyjet, and I was reading the city comments for Murcia, in their in-flight magazine. The author makes the point that the Spanish government is heavily backing the new international airport, and that passenger figures of 30 million are forecast by 2030.
I would suggest that Easyjet would not make these comments unless they have a vested interest in the airport concerned"
When somethings are written in black/white in their own publication surely these comments have to be taken into consideration when making plans for next years hols.

Yes but does anyone know when the new airport will open? Every year we keep hearig next year - if you don't book when the flights become available then the prices go up so how long do you wait to see if it is open and flights are available from your local airport?

Whilst i appreciate that the Spanish do work in mysterious ways i don't think that even they would spend many years of hard work and more than 200 million euros on a huge project such as this and just walk away when so close to completion.
I truly believe this airport will be completed and operational by next summer as this is one of the main reasons behind Paramount choose Murcia as the area to build their new theme park.
A company the size of Paramount would want certain gaurantees from the Spanish authorities before thy would invest there time and money in a massive project such as this.
The infastructure has also been built for the motorway links etc
The current global economic problems will not last for ever and when things do eventually get back to some kind of normality the Murcia region of Spain will realise it's potential .
It may well take longer than first planned but i it will happen.

Ryanair have released their flights this week. However they are very very expensive, which is very strange indeed. I have looked to book a return flight in March to malaga from Liverpool, which I booked last year. The total cost which baggage is £800 for a family of 4. last year we paid £380. cant see how they have doubled the prices, and I cant see many people paying these prices. Easyjets flights up until June, as a comparion look much cheaper.
Looks like Easyjet will be the airliner to use for 2012.

I do not know if they fly from the airport's you all use? But Monarch are trying to compete.with Ryanair and Easyjet, I have had a email to that effect. Have not looked to see as yet as we had already booked with easyjet.

Hi to everyone!
It´s truth that the Corvera Intl. Airport may delayed, but it´s a really global economic problem, but to say that they will never open....it´s crazy. There´re too many interests with the new airport and everyone want to see it open. Arguments are clearly seen with the comments of Diverdan(31Aug11) and Pontlliw(05Sept11).
What I know is that the Covera Int. Airport has to start paperworking next month and should start tests on November´11 up to April´12 and to open for the summer.
Corvera Int. Airport is "negociating" with Ryanair, Jet2, AirBerlin, EasyJet, Norwegian, BMIBaby, SpainAir, Vueling and AirNostrum. Hope they respect new-dates, start using this airport for next summer and enjoy spain.

Ryanair on Watchdog yet again the other night for excessive credit card charges this time. They need to be cheap, not much else good to say about them!. How long before airlines are forced to give the real price as a few years ago. I would even pay a bit more to cut the hidden crap and not fund RA's deceptive greed.
