amplifier for satellite dish

The amplifier on our community satellite dish has gone and we need it replacing, does anyone know how much it would cost to replace it. Do we have to go with the original supplier ( it is not covered any longer) or can we get someone else to fit it that may be cheaper. We are in Formentera Del Segura.

Depends on what sort of amplifer you have on your system that has gone = inline, powered amplifer, launch amplifer....

However, sometimes an amplifer does more harm than good, sa it can amplify all the noise in the cable as well as the signals.

Go with who ever you feel gives the best price, for the best service, and best gaurentee, and no BS, be it ithe origianl installer or someone else. But if it is the communitys dish, then shold the community administartors deal with this??
