how to get rid of wasp's nests

Is there any organisation near Guardama del Segura that will get rid of wasp nest? I have a problem with them being in the roof tiles over the porch.

Wait until dusk (when they've bedded down for the night) and then give the whole nest a hefty & prolonged belt of RAID.

But as it's a seemingly never-ending process, best learn to live with them in relatively-peaceful harmony - they lived here before any of us.

Try to resist giving any of them the Good News with a swatter/a book/your flipflop, as when attacked by an enemy, the little darlings emit an odour that brings all their little friends to the rescue. .

I think there is a product called waspinator ??

Even after dusk when they should all be at home, I would make sure to be fully covered with long sleeves and full length trousers, before spraying the nest.  retreat and close all windows over night.

Talk to Seprona; the environmental branch of the Guardia Civil, I believe they are normally appointed to deal with such hazards.

Your local GC office or Ayuntamiento should be able to be able to help.

We did exactly what has been suggested - spraying at night - they were living in a cavity of the metal door of our pumphouse and we never saw them again.

And go-faster running shoes - don't forget the running shoes.  (either them, or get the wife to to actually do the jet-washing - you direct events from 100 metres away).

Thats cool I like that although pehaps you might know somebody with a big mouth that you could invite round for several stiff drinks  that could engulf  the whole nest . Two problems solved.

My next door neigbour purchase a gas wand weed burner from the local hardware store and destroyed them in a short space of time . The nest is usually shaped like a small football and is made out of pulp or paper.

Failing that you can you the ultimate, a pipe freeze kit that the plumber uses for freezing a leaking copper pipe
