Swapping to Spanish licence will I retain my motorycle category?

I have a category A2 motorcycle entitlement on my UK licence (as well as car). Now as I have turned 70 I want to exchange it for a Spanish licence - will my entitlement for the motorycle carry over?

When  I exchanged mine (I was 55) all the groups for which I was approved  were transferred.  However, there is a requirement that to exchange a DL it must be valid (although there may be a limited extension) so you should proceed ASAP as I assume at 70 your UK DL expired.   

Remember in Spain you cannot drive unless you have a valid DL which must be in your possession.   If it has expired you are also not covered by your insurance.  This is unlike UK

Thanks - I have renewed it in the Uk on my 70th birthday so good for another three years - just thought maybe better to change over to a spanish license as I will not have a Uk address to use next time. I hope I don't have to give up my motorcycle though!
