This information is at least five years old.

This seems to be a development not to buy into.

So are  all the problems fixed then ?  Looks odd to print the story on 28  July 2015 (this week) if it was 5 years ago.

The builder MASA was kicked off the site 2 years ago the news you are looking at is 5 years old the Local council took over 2 year back and since then thay have reinstated the street lighting \ started to maintain the roads and pavements the site is well looked after by the C.R.A  and garden groups on all the sectors .

The article is about problems in specific bits of sectors, and seems to be current enough.   It is not about lighting in the main, but about SOME houses which are falling down, are being sucked into earth.   Some houses are just a bit lob sided, others have much bigger problems, but the article is talking about the continued fight to get things sorted, and it sounds serious enough, certainly for the owners of the houses which are unsaleable.    The problem with lights was because of the terrible weather last September, and residents are worried it will happen again.  Apparently someone from the ministry of external affairs from the UK has visited and will put pressure on the Spanish authorities to do something because problems with drains mean it is a public health issue.

It is a really interesting article, and is about the current state of affairs and the fight to get some kind of recompense  from the builder.    I did not read it as anti Camposol, but clearly the houses involved will never be sold.

Out of 4,500 properties approximately 5 had serious structure deflects most of the problems on the urbanisation are with the infrastructure I am happy to say all of the defects can be put down to Masa the builder due to not Finnishing the construction work. AS I said in my previous post all the repairs to the infrastructure are in hand Camposol is the size of a large sprawling town and will be a on going maintenance program for the future and. from what I can see it is turning into a very nice place to live .

Well newworld, if that's not food for thought then nothing is, I've never had a longing to live on one of these complex/ estates, either in the UK or in Spain. We stay front line, beach front when in Spain and have never seen anything like this, personally I would much prefer a smaller, better built property a few strides away from a beach. However this would not suit everyone, so the Spanish authorities need to toughen up where 'cowboy' developers are concerned.

Do you live on Camposol newworld

Speaking as one who lived on Camposol, and knows what I am talking about, these problems affect about 8% of properties, and though it is bad for them, the majority have no problems whatsoever.  The situation described in the newspapers was meant to highlight the plight of those affected, so that action could be taken. Houses continue to be sold with no problem. No one is hiding the fact that there is a problem area- it is obvious for all to see, but to imply that all the houses on Camposol are in a dire stuation is plain wrong.

Do you live on Camposol newworld------------- NO THANKS,----- And can you show me where i imply that all the houses on Camposol are in a dire stuation, Look i did not make the youtube video, i did not fill the internet up, with all that not good about Camposol, i was pointing out that your  x-side kick from from Camposol aka windtalker who likes to have a go at Polaris ghost resorts, Funny how windtalker says it is 5 house out 4.500 properties, and then you say its 8%, ( somebody wants to get there facts right )  so 8% of 4.500  is 360 properties which looks like a lot of problems to me ( count yourself lucky you got out  the place, who knows what the next bad rain fall will bring ) The problem is he thinks the Camposol is the only place is Spain that has a bars and free entertainment, and everybody would want to live there, well its not the case each to there own. So please enjoy your life away from Camposol.

Newworld l merely pointed out that the poster that started this thread was bringing up old news at lease 5 years out of date Camposol like many other parts of Spain has moved on since then ,l stated that there are 4,500 properties on Camposol I was wrong it is over 7,000 properties all sold unlike the Polaris World resorts that seem to be very difficult to sell on if you don't believe me try and get a bank to lend you money on one ,unless it is already owned by the. bank as a repo the banks will not lend unless you put up  60% deposit that way if the loan is not paid back they repo it back and sell it on at a 60% discount ever one of the properties on Polaris world have been bought and paid for by some one that has lost their life savings to unscrupulous builders and crooked bankers so next time you have a look at one of these so called bargains think of the people that paid for it to be built .

Windtalker-- i know what trying to say but your comparison  with Camposol and Polaris is just not like for like, How old is Camposol ?  you say the Polaris World resorts that seem to be very difficult to well thats not true at all. MMGR all sold out LTGR all sold out EVGR all sold out HRGR all sold out, Then came the crash in  2007 ish as and many people where buying on  CDA and TLTGR the newest of the Polaris resorts, then the builder slowed right down on building on these resorts, but over the last few years there are now selling agiain, at very low prices,So when you say there are empty properties and they cant sell you are more than likely thinking about the last 2 resorts, And if you look on the internet for properties for sale on a Polaris you will find Terrazas de las Torre Golf Resort lots of the properties are now being built, this is because people are still buying and want to be on a Polaris World resort. So how many properties do you think MASA would have sold if they had only opened there doors in 2006/2007 just as the world housing market fell to bits, all the resorts that did sell out for  Polaris where pre- crash. Here is a bit of like for like with a MASA site and a Polaris site ( same times ) Sierra Golf at Balsicas many of these still remain unsold/falling to bits for a host of resons, I am yet  to see any Polaris property/resort go the same way as any MASA built site, if its Camposol or Sierra Golf the build quality is not good. And let me ask you this how many estate agents cars do you see going round Camposol with budding buyers each day ? because if you go to Terrazas de las Torre Golf Resort or CDA you will plenty. Have a nice day.

The actual newspaper story that started this is very fair and not anti the urbanisation, and I tried to say that in my very quick summary of the story.   Camposol has given an up to date account of the current situation.  I don't understand how or why this has become a battle between two (both clearly challenged) urbanisations.   Everyone to his own.   Personally, I would hesitate to 'slag off' any urbanisation.  People have very specific reasons for buying, and when you look at what prices, both in the past and now,  have been, of course you can understand why people have bought there.

For those people who bought on very small 'urbanisations' or in the campo, or in pueblos, it will seem unattractive to live in a big resort style urbanisation.   But each to his own.

Newworld Camposol when you take in to consideration that their are over 7,000 properties with 90% of them being high end luxury villas with swimming pools for instance ,  my own villa is called a Neptuno deluxe 3 bedrooms3 bathrooms and on a 300 MTR plot surrounded by 7ft walls with a double gates on the drive l visit my villa every 6 weeks it is maintained to a very high standard (not falling to bits) l am also surrounded by many Villa's that are maintained to a high standard Camposol is a urbanisation that is designed for people to live on permanently with all the community services that you would expect unlike the so called golf resorts that are designed to accommodate holiday makers only, unsuspecting buyers are told by unscrupulous estate agents that this type of property is OK for full time occupation this is not true l will bring this discussion to a end now l wish you well but don't be lured by cheap Price's think twice and part with your money once good luck with the property search.
