Water Mains tight

Having probs when turning off quite tight took ages to turn water off and was a little drip
Does this mains need lubrication or do i need a plumber

Get a plumber to fit a new valve .

I'd give it a good spray of WD40 first - let it soak in for a few hours, always seems to sort mine out>

unfortunately i wont be back over for a few weeks snd ill get it sorted then
was a bit worried when i noticed a little drop of water on handle hope it doesnt leak while im a away
