Hi, In November last year I lodged a complaint against Trafico Malaga  and sent a copy to the ombudsman.

Neither have responded so I assume they are adopting the usual spanish tactic of " ignore them and they will go away"

Would anyone know who actually governs Trafico as I am thinking of complaining yet again.Should I find that I am being stopped by the police every time I set foot out of my door then I know the complaint has come to their attention [ lol ]

Hi.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am popping over to Spain soon and haven't been for a while. Can someone remind me what the list of things is that one needs in one's hire car - number of triangles, vests etc? I'm sick of getting screwed over by the Guardia Civil in Andalucia.

Every car I have rented lately have had the vests in the glove box, which surprised me as they normally go walk about, I do have a couple in my hand luggage as well though. Triangles have seemed to be floating loose in the boot with the last few rentals I have had, perhaps now the rental firms are making sure these are in place.

I do always check to see if the spare if blown up and not flat, if the car has one that is, other then this never any problems.

Thanks. Rather than wrangle with the company for any missing vests - I understand it's one per person - I may also take some in the handluggage as you suggest. Thanks.

Was there anything about bulbs and/or breathalyser kits - or was that France?

You no longer need spare bulbs in the car. Breathalyser was introduced for France but they binned the idea. Well, you're supposed to still carry them but there is no fine if you haven't.

If you wear glasses for driving you need to carry a spare pair with you.

Yes, it should be a jacket per person but hire companies normally only provide 2. They are quite cheap in UK as well so carry extra if you have more than 2 of you.
