Retired couple moving to Spain
The Comments |
Hi
My husband and I are both retired and intend to move to Spain and rent by the end of 2016. We prefer a quiet area but at the same time near to shops tavernas and hospitals. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kerry,
The Mijas Costa could suit you, there is a great beach boardwalk between La Cala and Puerto Cabopino, and Marbella General Hospital is just down the coast road, close to Santa Clara golf course, the local bus service is first class.
Good hunting.

I love Andaluzia. Malaga, for example, is situated near the Mediterranean sea, there are a lot of taverns, cozy suburban area and in the same time infrastructure

Spain is a big place you must have some idea yourself where you want to rent, if you don't like it move on rent somewhere else until you have found a area you like after all you are only renting.

Kerry. Moving to Spain.
May I suggest you check out the tax laws. Depending on your financial circumstance you may find that you will be paying more tax on your worldwide assets and income (all taxable in Spain, and as from this year that includes Crown Pensions which 'are taken into consideration'). Inheritance tax varies considerably according to the Region. You may want to research that area too.
There is a lot of info readily available if you search EOS and the web.
