Poor Quality Food in Spain and tasteless veg
The Comments |
If you're suffering some kind of OCD on your fruit n veg purchases try the back street warehouses where the poorer Spanish do. It's good quality and fresh and if you have the time you may save €5 or €10 per week.

I wonder did the Original Poster contemplate the fact that a lot of the fruit and veg bought in the UK comes from Spain? Is it seriously expected to mature and increase in flavour on route?
If you pay extra for organic in the UK, then for sure, there is often more taste. But if not, it's all much of a muchness and not really worth making a fuss about.
In truth, most Spanish restaurants don't seem to bother too much with vegetables - mainly lumps of meat, chips and a token dollop of something indecipherable with chutney.
