Can anyone recommend an English speaking notary for making a will? In the Torrevieja or Orihuela area? Gill.

I would think probably most, if not all, notary offices in areas where there are significant non Spanish populations would provide a service in english
Each time I have made a Will in spain, or have accompanied family or friends, an english translation version has been offered along with the legal Spanish copy. However on one occasion the translation was wrong in an important respect. The notary had not realised I spoke Spanish and was very surprised the translation was wrong. So take care that any Will you make stipulates what you intend

Do you have to use a Notary to make a Will legal in Spain? Or can you just write it yourself like in the UK.
Also do you need a separate Will for Spanish assets and UK assets?.

Good Evening
I think it is best to use a Notary in Spain. Lots of legal red tape in this Country. The Spanish Will only covers Spanish Assets. Your English Will covers your UK Assets
