Garden and pool Maintenance cost

May I ask what prices you are paying for pool and Garden?

To give some idea.

Our plot is crica 700sqm 120 build.

Smal lawned areas
Cyrpus hedge (trimmed twice a year max as its new)
Few bits of low maintenance Mediterranean plants
Two Palm Trees

Small 8m x 4m pool

We are paying €190 plus extras

But, the pool is not really clened as I would like. Often, even in summer, chuck a tablet in and hes off. Winter sees a netting once a month if we are lucky. If we cover the pool, pool man refuses to cover it back up. Meaning any heat gained from the pump is lost.

Any thoughts ?

Don't know anything about prices, but surely you can call some Gardening/Pool cleaning people to come and give you quotes? Compare quotes, check with other genuine clients, job done.

Xabia where is the property? You say you are currently paying €190 but is that per hour, week, month or year?

The national minimum wage in Spain is €4.95 per hour. How many hours per week do you think the job warrants? What rate would you do the job for?

Also if you are dissatisfied with the bad services you are receiving from the person/company why do you persevere?

When I first enquired, three gardeners gave me similar prices.

The rate of €195 is per month.

The reason I ask on here is I am in the process of making enquires for quotes locally. Just wondering if there is a cartell!

What would I do the job for? Well, I run my own businesses and have done Since I was 26.

The Gardener said his rates for the Garden is €20 per hour. So, I can expect the fact he has cost associated with gardening. That is, vehicles, fuel, insurance, PAYE and rubbish removal costs.

Another quote for the same with the pool being higher.
