WEATHER MOJACAR PLAYA
The Comments |
I'm hoping there'll be someone who reads this site that can inform me.
We're spending three months in Mojacar Playa (not far from Neptuno's restaurant) from ist December this year until the end of February and we're wondering what the weather could be like there at the time of year we'll be there. Do we bring jumpers and warm coats, for example? We spent 4 weeks in the area in February of this year and the weather was wonderful but, of course, this could have been unusual and it could be very different in December and January.

Usually very nice during the day but you'll definitely need the jumpers and a coat (not a huge, thick heavy one) for the evenings. You'll also need heating in the property as Spanish houses are not particularly well insulated for the cold period and are mainly built to keep cool in the hot summer months.
Of course, weather is very changeable but generally very nice during the day. The expat uniform of shorts, socks/sandals and a fleece jacket will be out in force.

Usually shorts and tee shirt weather during the day, but nights can be chilly, so a jumper or fleece. We've had chrimbo dinner on the terrace in previous years, then settled in for the afternoon. Was there last week and was still in the 30s and mid 20s at night, although that won't help in December
