Hi Mark

This is a great forum and many of us are nutty as fruit cakes but we do have a laugh as well as getting some great info from legal issues to directions to the water parks!!! It's all here. So here is a belated bling for you...........

And something for you to send to the nasties of the other forum.

Cheers, Candyfloss.

I'm sure the bling will look great, on a chain, nestled in my chest hair. The medallion's looking a bit ropey, these days. All I need is a white suit and a quiff and I'll be set.

"You can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man, no time to talk..."

Mark.

No, it was a reference to that old advert (Clorets breath mints?) with a gang of meerkats talking in a Geordie accent about going to the disco on the pull.

Come on. Surely someone can remember it...

Been to docs so missed this. Agree with the editing thingy. Likely put some off posting if they can't edit though. I edit if I add something or see a spelling mistake generally or just look at it & think, that looks all wrong, better clarify myself, seeing as I got GCE in English.

Bloody hell fire, the wind here is strong, think roof's about to come off. Wind seems to rush around in attic after getting in under eaves. Loft access once fell open, scared the sh*t out of us. Wind howls as it whips past wc overflows too, really eeiry.

Possibly a foolproof way of  avoiding the situation where some-one edits a post to the extent that it make no sense to subsequent readers is to use the 'copy and paste' method. I have seen it on other boards and it works like this:-

You 'select ' and 'copy' the post to which you are going to reply and then 'paste' it into your reply box. I do believe some members on EOS already do this.

It can be a little long winded, and ruin the spontaneity of a reply/reposte, but it will certainly clarify what has being said if the original message has for some reason been severely edited by it's author.

It will also put a spanner in the works of any of those mischievous trolls and elves that are lurking.

Edited to add:- Goat Curry!! No thank you!!

Hi Mark,

The only Trolls I knew of, until your post, were; the ugly little dolls with wild, 'day-glo' green, orange, and pink coloured hair, and the mythical creatures in Norse mythology.

After a little 'Googling' I now know that the Trolls which lurk on the internet can be far more vicious and damaging in their 'sick' agenda.

Thank you.

You can read about Trolls here

Bringing this thread back on topic.....

I have set it now so that only the last poster can edit their post.

Is that ok??

Justin

 OK with me, Justin.

Edited to add :  Now, any chance of a proper  "preview" of actual post as it will show on forum as it's not the same as just looking at what we write here currently.  I asked endless months ago. I know you said at the time it wasn't the easiest thing to do but maybe you can do it now you've introduced this edit not permitted unless you posted last.

Has the edit facility been changed in the development forums too Justin? There was a post in one of the forums earlier this morning and I noticed it had been removed even after another message was posted.

Any news on when the preview function will be available?

Thanks

Mark

Mark, I've just looked on a development forum and there is no edit facility for my posts that have had posts after them, so it must now extend to the development forums too.

Edited to say:  I also just got an error message when I posted this, but then saw it listed on the threads.

Edited again:  Same again!!  Won't edit again though if it happens this time too!
