What an evening !!!  Watched it in bar with mixed Spanish and English. Fantastic atmosphere.  Noisy as hell on the way home with all the horns honking and no doubt plenty of fireworks soon.  No doubt at all the best team won...

what a night!...what a party!!!....what a hangover!!!!!
I must admit, last night celebrations topped any i have previously witnessed,it was an absolutely amazing atmosphere.
Although the Spanish fans adopted us as their own last night and we did try to keep up with them,it did make us feel a tad jealous, how come they get to beat the Germans.....
I am not sure if its the fireworks and car horns i can still hear or its my typing that is making my head thump!!!!!
Well done Spain, you did us all proud........

Judging by how generally quiet it seems to be today Spain is recovering from a most almighty hangover - the property problems will have to wait until collective heads are clear!!

You should know by now that nowt in Spain happens quickly - except the speed at which Pedro looms large in your rear view mirror and hangs on to your rear bumper as if his life depended on it. I think that they follow the F1 theory that they get a tow by staying as close as possible and thus save fuel and also get the extra impetus to overtake.

Meant to say congratulations to Spain on a tournament well played and I think generally a victory for football - nothing specific against our German cousins of course but I think that Spain (along with some others) have played more attractive football with a little more flair than others and have been more entertaining so well done España - lets hope its not another 44 years before they have another championship to their name.

Ahhhhhh well if its Aifos I think you will need more than Pedro to kick ass!! Think you need the turbo boost from half a dozen F15s added to a couple of Tornados and I think a concorde or three thrown in for good measure - might about raise an eyebrow

Smiley, best be careful about tailgating comments, our Lewis hasn't exactly been doing us proud lately!

Well, having finally got out of my grump and decided to join the festivities, guess what? The police, unbelievably, spoilt the party last night. They effectively sealed off the centre of town to all traffic, so we had to rely on our voices alone (and of course a few loud hailers and fog horns) to make the required noise. I mean, how do they expect any civilized people to enjoy a party without the benefit of reving superbikes, unsilenced mopeds and car horns? They even drained all the fountains before full time. The atmosphere, at least compared to Thursday night, was actually rather subdued - not much different to an average weekend night in T-town. Bit of an anti-climax, really.

Whatever your allegiance (even German), I don't think anyone can deny that Spain were worthy winners of the title. Well done, chicos! So, if 44 years is a good space between trophies, that means at the World Cup in 2010................................
