Alicante region power cuts
The Comments |
I'm in UK at the moment, but have had a telephone call from Securitas Alarms to say that there is a major power cut in the Alicante regions and seemingly all the alarm systems are currently inoperative. Has anyone else heard mention of this?
What happens when the electricity goes off and then comes on again? Does the alarm system need to be reset at source, or can Securitas do it from their control board in Madrid?

Our electricity used to go off regularly. We had Securitas & it obviously resets so don't worry.

Thanks, More. Puts our mind at ease knowing we haven't to worry about it having to be reset.

Hi - we had a series of power cuts on Sunday night and Securitas phoned yesterday to say my system had gone onto battery. I think it only becomes a problem when the power is off a long time and the battery drains completely. The cuts on Playa Golf were one long one of about an hour and then a few shorter ones through the night. We then had a massive rain storm yesterday morning - lots of flash floods - but now everything is back to normal. I think the battery re-charges when the electricity goes back on.
Hope that helps!
