We have just been advised (reliable second hand) that we are now to be charged for collecting rubbish in Estepona.
We none residents with a 2 bed ground floor Apt. and our charge is about €150 per year.
Characteristically our neighbours who are permanent residents with the same (but penthouse} apt, actually pay less.???
Now what strikes me as strange is that we will create much less rubbish than a permanent resident and yet we pay more.
The second strike is that Estepona have recently increased the IBI by 63% for our complex.
And yet they want to add the extra charge for rubbish collection.
Are they extracting the Michael??? or are they trying to drive us out ???
I know it's making us very angry as we appear to have no redress.
Are there any other similar situations out there.
