Or was it closed again at night (always seems to be)

Looks like you were in Oasis Bar

They make money via charging extra money for the beer just because you are sitting on comfy blue seats.

I paid €4 for each beer the first (and last) time I had a drink there!

It was very pleasent, sat in the comfy chair at 4pm (what I call happy hour) in the afternoon on an early June day and the beer was not to cold, fresh and crisp (I'm a bit of a conisuer when it comes to beer), but frigging €4!!

When I complained about the final bill for 3 beers, 2 vodka & tonics and a packet of crisps at being well over €20 (I seem to remember she asked for €24), the 'waitress' explained why the extra charge.

I gave her €20, said that's all I had as we'd just come of the beach on our penultimate day in Duquesa. I remember the day it was because that was the day we put a deposit on our apartment.

Hmmmmmm "musky smell about me" - not sure but is she being rude? Well is she? Is she trying to tell me I need to change my underarm protection? Or worse the fact that the cat is sitting where my rear end (not a pretty sight) was situated not minutes before it could be its even worse? God I am fricking paranoid now - going to a spa for hydrocleanse and the full works I think.

Oh and by the way JC "I'm free!"

Hiya everyone. Great to be back in the sun if a little tired and jaded!

It was good to meet you too Miket and after vowing to abstaine from the alcohol, Im afraid I relented! The mael was - different! It was quite noce and there were 7 of us out including Sarah Walker and Martin Roberts the TV presenters (yes am connected). The guys aminsgt the group werent sure about the food but it was washed down with plenty of wine, tequila, brandy and laughter!

Some of us carried on back at the hotel for a while and then 2 of us went out trying to find some action.

Turns out the onl;y place open was the gay village (So I was safe) but unfortuntaley we got turned away cos it was 2am and kicikng out time there!

Quite a poor show really but Im in London this weekend (if anyone down there wants to meet) and then my favourite over the easter weekend, Dublin, where there ARE places open all night, but only if you look rough enough!

The show was ok, rather quiet but then I wasnt expecting too much. I came back with a few good leads and was actually suprised to find several people interested in buying along the costa here despite the problems, so its not totally dead!

Portugal was the most popular with a couple interested in Morocco.

Thursday Im off to Viva Espana, with my auctioneer hammer, facepaints and a trick or two!!!

Rixxy, I did the Birmingham show once (in my more frivolous days) and it was a big waste of time and money.  Those shows aren't what they used to be, although I'm told the London and Dublin ones are better.

Hi Justin, yes the shows dont pull in the people as before. A combination of too many shows and of course the ready information on tv. This one was quiet, but the people attending had a good level of knowledge ond information and wanted to meet an agent to find them something, so in some respects the hard work is already done.

The one this weekend is the Viva Espana one, with all sorts of lifestyle things as well as several celebrities, a flamenco dance competition and other such stuff, so should at least be fun

I also enjoy them as there is quite a large group of regular attendees, and its still cheaper than shoving an advert in to the papers and hoping for the best.

I might join in and having had a sneak preview of the male models in the fashion show, a bucket of cold water will be needed!

Luckily for me I know the show organizers so will be disappearing backstage left........
