Where would you consider escaping to?

Can I join the Liverpool appreciation society?  Seeing some of the street names brought back a flood of memories. 

I spent 4 years as a student in Liverpool and loved it.  I remember Smithdown Road really well, we used to live on Gainsborough Road which is just off of it.  Oh the memories....

Anyway, where would I want to esape to?  Well if Susan decided we go to Scotland then so be it, it is a lovely part of the country.

Otherwise I would probably try Sicily for a while.  Susan has family there and we spent a week there in the summer and loved it.

I could be the next Don....

Thinking about it I don´t know why we didn´t consider Sicily in the first place at least we would have had family help with bureacracy etc but I think I might go a little crazy there with the lack of infrastructure.

Scotland?????   My partner who is Scottish, fled as soon as possible.  Awful weather - during a very recent ten-day visit it rained every single day, mind-numbing conformity, at least in Western Scotland, plus horrendous inner-city deprivation in the major cities are enough to make anyone flee.

Granted, there are areasof incredible beauty albeit of the rather harsh variety -not to be compared with the softly undulating green hills, chalk cliffs and exquisite bays of my native Dorset....

Far better to stay in Spain and prepare for doomsday by stocking up on good Cava and jambon.
