In the Community Meeting notes that I sent out yesterday, I did state that if more than 12 units in a block require satellite TV then permission will be given for 2 dishes to be installed.
You are not being asked to track down your neighbours. As the notes state, anyone interested in having satellite TV should email Luis at Seasun. He will then be able to coordinate how many people in a block require the satellite & apportion the cost appropriately.
The Spanish also have an issue with the TV reception at Thalassa so it may well be that they are just as interested in having satellite channels available.
Chappym, part of the problem is that many owners have done exactly as you say & have installed the dishes discreetly, however, there are many more who haven't been as considerate. I think what people also need to realise is that although you may think the dishes cannot be seen, some of the blocks are very high & in fact the dishes are very visible even when installed in roof spaces.
As I understand the situation, the company that has been consulted has said that 12 connections are possible. Maybe that is a question that needs to be put to Luis when providing him with your details stating your interest in having satellite tv. If you have already installed a dish & have a number of feeds coming of it already, it may be worthwhile asking Luis if the cost can be reduced by using & adapting the one already installed.
I don't know the answers I am afraid but the above might be a good starting point.
If anyone hasn't seen a copy of the meeting notes, send me a PM or email me & I will forward you a copy.
Regards
Noreen
