has anyone been to the hotels near the front for a meal and entertainment for a  change at night

if so which ones and what were they like

We went for a drink in the Hotel with the African theme close to the picnic area, think it's called the Zimbabi or something like that. Stayed to watch the entertainment which was a Flemenco show which to be fair was rather amateurish but as we only paid for our drinks it didn't matter. It was something to do and will probably do it again. 

Having our first visit since purchasing our apartment in a couple of weeks. Any recommendations on bars/restaurants within walking distance would be appreciated as would directions from the complex.

El Balconcito & the Wok Buffet are just about walking distance (well in my opinion anyway!!!). A bit further away is El Mar La Mar - depends on how much you like walking..

All are on the Places to Eat list that I sent out about 2 weeks ago.

We tried the buffet in Wok following the advise of Noreen and Sharon, and really enjoyed it, the food is so good and at 9.50 per head very very reasonable, and we walked it from Thalassa. Can be a bit dodgey at the end of the road and if you have a light on your phone for coming home can be quite handy. Small little resturant at the back of the consum, cant rember the name one on the left of the small group, portions small, but reasonable and tasty. Lets know how you get on. Tricia

thanks for the replies have doen the wok etc just thought hotel meal and a bit of entertainment would be nice for the company we are bringing
