Hab cert

As we have spent many a happy/boring/ hour discussing Bank Accounts in the UK and Spain, just wondered if anyone with more experience in banking or by chance had found a good deal, could give us any tips on what they've done to transfer money as cheaply as possible from the UK to Spain?  Initially  we'll be renting our house out in the UK and would like to be able to transfer that rental to our Spanish bank account without incurring huge charges.  Any ideas- or should we be looking at Moneysupermarket?

Hi Donna, Andy,
hope you are both keeping well and not missing Mirador too much. Our solicitor in Spain recommended the bbk bank in Torrevieja, Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa www.bbk.es Tel: 965.70.71.80, they dont charge as much as the other banks  for having a savings/current account, so if you dont have an account in Spain at the moment it might be worth while having a chat with them.
We have been flitting between using Moneycorp and Currencies Direct to see who can give the best rate, if there is such a thing these days. One of the best sites for looking at when it comes to the money saga is the Martin Lewis site,
www.moneysavingexpert.com , might be worth a look.

We are off on Saturday for two glorious weeks in the apartment, where we wont have too much to do this time, ten days early August and another two weeks in October, hopefully we can get to meet again during one of these trips.
