Hi All
I have been asked by some of the people I will be Key Holding for will I do a ' Builders Clean' before they furnish.
I have agreed to do this , just wondered if any of you would be interested as I have not seen anything to suggest that PW will offer this for completion and nobody who has already completed has mentioned what state the apartments are in on completion. I am moving out mid - late August and thought it maybe an additional Service to offer or just a one off Service for those that require it.
So if those of you who have already completed or been in to do snagging can let me know what state they are in or how dusty and dirty they are it will help me figure out how long it would take to do each one.

Think I've said before somewhere
1) Snag by POA
2) Complete by POA
3) Get all snags done and get snagged again
4) Get utilities connected and get snagged
5) Get aircon in and snagged
6) Get builders clean done................ Carol - it will be really clean to start with, so an hour should be enough, honest, €10 ok ? 
7) Furnish the place
8) Drink many bottles of Rioja and San Miguel at The Oasis, then on the way back stop for a drink on Carol's terrace on 13 and Chris's on 9, after all it's a long walk back to 4

Hi Carol
When we went and done our snagging the place had just been cleaned because there was a liitle water on the bathroom floor where it had been washed. So everything was perfectly clean. I would imagine that when the apartments are left for a time they will get a bit dusty but most of the package deal furniture stores clean them before they put the furniture in. Hope this helps but Shampers might need a bit of help as he's on his own.

Thanks John, helps a lot, I dont complete til 15th so didnt have a clue what they did for you and had a few peeps wanting me to do it before furniture arrives and without knowing how much work involved didnt know what to charge.......as for Shampers ....... What can I say he;s a fun guy and I am sure will keep us entertained with his humour and devilish antics......so all I will say is watch out ......

just must clarify, sorry john didn't want to upset anyone didn't see your reponse before i posted, was refering to shampers and angelbabe, the expression 'muppett' is a classic and i'm sure he's not, but still can't stop laughing

Anyway, the PW builders clean doesn't fill me with confidence (unlike my bacon and egg sandwich which has just gone down excellently complete with egg dripping down my chin Onslow style), so unless the furniture people do it then for €20 Carol is cheap at the price.
Moving onto Bank Guarantees, i suspect a lot of people will be completing without any (2nd installments not required) as the builders have thrown the apartments up so quick

Just had a long read of recent messages, lol,Carol, are you going to let him get away with the Bella Emburg remark, I think he's winning the contest. Another thing Carol, looks like you will have to have the fridge stocked up as your the 1st port of call on the way back from the Oasis, by the time they all get to our place on garden 9 it might just be "one for the road", I'm usually last to leave but I think shampers will push me all the way.

This thread will be seriously worrying a few people i suspect.
They'll be thinking ''who are these people ?''...........''who will we be living next to ?''......... ''will they be having parties every night ?''
Chris - ''one for the road'' can mean many things............ as it's like tomorrow, it never arrives
Anyway Bank guarantees........... you really do have to mither for them, I got my first one 9 months after paying 1st instalment, I paid my 2nd instalment last August and have never received that guarantee............. but as I almost own my property I am now a little less concerned, but still have a little nagging doubt at the back of my mind

Can we get this back on topic please ?
If you are getting Bank guarantees then you should ensure your solicitor has the originals for hand back to the Bank/PW at completion given so many are now completing by POA.
As for City then I was a home and away blue up until 2 years ago when i finally gave up on Prem football and all that it stands for, and as for the new stadium and the area it's in then don't get me started ............. was back in Rusholme last night for a curry

Hi Shampers
Go to Maine Rd now its a housing estate.
Rusholme for a curry, my currant favourite is Spicyhut, excellent food, great atmosphere and you can take your own booze.
