We have a Donana corner plot due to be completed May 2007. At the moment we have put down a deposit only, not actually paid the builders any money at all except for this. However the solicitor and Parador hassled us to get our first stage payment sent over to Spain which we did a year ago. We have only just been told that we can have our money transferred back over to us but less the deposit, less any interest and obvioulsy costing us currency exchange costs.
We transferred our money in December 2005 after which we understand Parador and the solicitor had full knowledge of the problems with the licenses.
We are looking to sell our off plan if anyone at all would be interested. We will sell it at the price of the deposit and the cost to make up the shortfall of the exchange rate. Remember there have been NO stage payments made as yet. We don't want to make any money at this stage, just recover our expenses. If someone is interested in this, then please do email me on mapplegate@accolade-corporate-events.com. We would stick it out but due to other circumstances we can't. So if anyone fancies a relatively low investment gamble then this may be for you, as the property value should have increased by the time they finally get around to building them!!
I realise that people may not be interested which is fair enough. I'd like to ask if anyone else was asked by Aldea and Parador to transfer money over when they knew full well of the problems?
