As of today you need your opener to get through the front gate of the complex.

Do we have any security guard on the gate to let  visitors in?

No Brian there is no one there.  If an ambulance or fire brigade arrived , well ??????       I will go to the office to see Caroline first thing in the morning, don't worry about that. I can't believe this is the way it's meant to be.

Good news !!   I met with Caroline this morning, the gates are indeed to be locked from now on.  There will be a security person there 24 hours a day, not today but very soon. The video phones in the apartments are now working in some of the buildings and the rest are being worked on as we speak and all should be working shortly. Mine is not, but there are people working at my building now.  
If you don't have your garage door opener with you when you arrive for your next holiday, well you will need to leave the car outside the gate, walk through the pedestrian gate, get your opener and walk back. Or if you telephone Caroline prior to your visit she can let the guard know that you will be arriving so that he will let you in.

This is very good news Thea -  It seems that more progress is being made every week.  Thank you for keeping us updated.  Hope to eventually meet you when we are over for our next visit in August
