We are just about to complete on our property, Block 8 G3. However I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on snagging and any other helpful advice prior to the completion. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Best Regards

Karen

Hi Karen

I went by your apartment this morning. The workmen were there , lots of them, all very busy .  The best person to do the snagging is you - someone else did mine and they didn't check that all the power points were active - they were not, or that the underfloor heating worked - it didn't, or that the air conditioning worked - it didn't etc etc etc.

Good luck

Thea

Thea,

I am travelling overon the 3rd March to take a look before completing.

Have you or anyone got a contact number & email address to arrange access. I turned up unannounced on my lastvisit, and a grumpy chap (Carlos...?) was not very helpful ~ to say the least...!

Thanks in advance.

Andy.

They don't do "unannounced" here at La Hacienda.  You must make an appointment, or ask your lawyer to make an appointment for you. The office telephone number is 0034 952 769 207 and fax is 952 769 208

Thanks Thea,

I have been unable to contact the office.

I have sent an email to my solicitor to try and make the arrangements.

I am travelling over early Monday morning, and return on Thursday evening. So I will hopefully get a look.

With fellow investors from the UK, we are due to complete on:

  • B14 G-2
  • B11 1-4
  • B16 G-3
  • B10 2-2

Kind regards,

Andy.

You could try to get Caroline on her email at:    carolina@moleon.com

Drop by for a coffee when you are here. I am upstairs from one of your apartments at 14.1.2

Thea,

Apologies I couldn't pop in. I completed my snagging lists on Wednesday with Carolina & Oscar, with only a few minor issues, except water ingress on the Block 10 apartment, resulting in damage to plaster work. Will be resolved ASAP I am told.

Overall I am very pleased with the properties.

Do you have any contact details for companies that can supply/fit the shower screens (any idea of costs....?) and for a reliable electrician to supply and fit lights throughout the properties.

Thanks in advance, and I hope to see yu in the summer.

The winds were bad on Tuesday night/ednesday day ~ I thought my hotel room roof was going to come off....!

Andy.

Hi Andy

We looked in Leroy Merlins for a shower screen but could not find any that were the correct size.  In the end we just bought heavy duty plastic curtains which look fine. (Plus cleaners say its much easier to maintain!).  I think Brian (Kyleman) got purpose built shower screens so you should contact him.

We got a local (English) electrician to do the light fittings and it cost approx 150euros for fitting all the lights in our 2-bed apartment.  Let me know if you want his number.

Regards

Margaret

Hi Andy

Marg Macdonald was correct I did have a purpose built shower screen fitted, why they had to have the dog leg is beyond me.  The screen was supplied and fitted by Fernando Moreno based in San Pedro near the round about and filling station just off the Rhonda Road. It was not cheap at at 2067.42 Euro but it does finish off the bathroom.  My contact was Marioli, she was very helpfull,  I also obtained all my furniture and fittings from the same place, the price also included installation of all electrical fittings.  Again not cheap at 18,000 euro, but as I was in a hurry and needed the place fitted out for a holiday it suited me.  They delivered and installed everything even down to the curtain rails and and curtains so on arrival I did not have to do anything but sit back and enjoy our holiday, which we did very much.

May be see you out there on one of our trips we are in Block 4 2/2.  Pity you did not see Thea she is a very nice person and would have made you very welcome. Mind you every one we have met so far have been very friendly.

Regds

Brian (Kyleman)

If you would like the name and details of someone who would do all this for you, please let me know and I will email it privately. Otherwise, the company who does your furnishing, should you choose that route, can do it for you, or contact Maggie Wood at Helpting Hand Spain who has done a lot of work on site. Her website is www.helpinghandspain.com . Sorry I missed you on the Wednesday when you were here, I was out all day, went to the IKEA at Malaga to get some bits and pieces for the apartment.  I have seen Brian's shower screen, it is magnificent. Personally my budget did not run to anything more than the shower curtains which are sufficient for me, but I am now going to look at the glass shower screens and  will have them put in by the person who I mentioned earlier. I had all my lights put in by a friend who came out on holiday with me.
