Hi to the Parkers. As you will see from my other mails we have just returned after two weeks on the site. The gate is secure. One gate is always glosed the other is held open during the working day by a concrete block. When the workers have gone, about 1930hrs the block is removed and the gate closed. You need a remote to be able to open both the gates which does work, providing Ana tells you the correct buttons to press, which she got wrong on our first day. At night there is a security person who sits outside in his car, sometimes just down the road from the gate other times almost at the end of the road. I feel this is at the moment a token gesture on behalf of the developer, the security person can operate the gate if you are having any problems. I was also given a key by Ana that enables you to unlock the gate during times of power failure etc. I tried the key but it did not work, as we were due to leave I will leave the investigation until our next time out. If you intend to let out your property then a key would be the better option as a spare remote will be expensive especially if the person was to leave and forgot to leave the remote. I do not feel that the gate office will be manned until a factor has been found to take care of the development as this will be part of their requirement. They are still looking into finding a factor. I hope this answers your question.
