Hi every one, we have just returned after a two week stay in our apartment Block 4. First off Fran no longer works for the developer Ana is the main person along with happy Carlos. I was sorry to hear of Frans departure as he was the only person with any technical knowledge you could talk to. Ana is very difficult to deal with she says she understands but I am not fully convinced. Our grand children have nicknamed her Ana Manyana, as if you are lucky you may get it done by tomorrow but as we all know tomorrow never comes. We are very pleased with the apartment but it did take a week to get the air con working ( Ana ) but still not fully satisfied. Most of our snagging list had been completed what was not completed was completed within the first week once I brought it to the attention of Ana. I suggest anyone going out to stay for the first time take a straight and a phillips screw driver and maybe a pair of pliers and small adjustable spanner just in case. You will need the phillips screw driver in order to change the main lock on the front door. We were advised to do this as there are so many keys going about better to be safe than sorry. A new lock barrel can be purchased from a very good hardware shop in San Pedro for a few euros. The development is running from a temporary electrical supply such that the lifts are not yet operational until the perminant supply is in place. Water is brought in daily by water tankers which then tops up a holding tank. I understand that a perminant water supply should be in place within the next week or so. I hope so as once more and more people move on to the site the water will soon run out as it did on two occassions during out stay with only a few occupied apartments. During our stay the developer had a film crew on site to push the development. I saw a car from I think MRI Estate Agents during this period, they advertise a lot on Sky TV for property abroad not just in Spain so watch this space as they say. I took out with me a sky digi box ( Pace DS440N or DS445NB which is the latest model) purchased from e bay for £54 + postage that worked a treat once the sky distribution amp in the junction box on the main stair way was plugged in. This is sky freeview but with a sky freeview card you can also watch channel 4 & 5 or take out your own sky card from home. I understand that they are having problems with some of the builders on site having gone on strike but this I think only really effects phase two with the new buildings. The grounds are well maintained, they had a purge last week cutting down some of the large palm trees that had not taken. I will stop my ramblings now but if any one would like any other info I will try and oblige if you make contact.
