Hi
Hoping someone can help. I know there were directins posted somewhere recently with details of the new road that is now open to Condado. I'm going over at the weekend to complete and am staying in Mar Menor. Does anyone have directions from here to Condado?

We followed the directions below which were on an earlier thread and they worked using the brand new road. it will take you around 30mins.

Directions from Airports

From Alicante airport take the A7 towards Murcia, Stay on it and you pass round Murcia. Stay on it until you see sign for Autovia Alhama De Murcia - Cartegena which is the RM02 towards Cartegena. Take the second exit which is signposted Mazarron and is the RM03. Condado is about 2 miles on the left.

From San Javier take the AP7 towards Cartegena, take the exit for Torre Pacheco. Follow this road and you will see Polaris Mar Menor resort on the right with new building works. When you reach the road island immediately after this construction works ( you will also see a red hotel with white dots opposite ) honest, anyway turn right at that island and follow that road till you reach the next island. Here take the exit signposted A30, you will then come to the RM02 at a new island at the junction with the A30. Joint this new motorway RM02 for quite a few miles, passing Hacienda Del Alamo resort on your right. Take the exit signposted Mazarron RM03(?) and Condado is about 2 miles on the left.

Hi Lyndsey

Thanks for the directions to Condado they look sound, since I was last out there the roads have all changed!

Just out of interest that "red hotel with white dots" do you by any chance remember the name of it?

Would it be "Barcelo Torre Pacheco" by any chance?  I'm staying there in  just over a week and I'm almost sure thats where I think it is.

Also when you take the road from Condado back to Alicante airport on the A7 you are saying the road by passes Murcia which is good.
 Thanks

Jackie

It is this hotel!  We stayed at that hotel last year, it is opposite the Mar Manor resort.  A bit out on a limb, no restaurants nearby, but a good location and only down the road from Murcia Airport or Las Alcazares which is good on a nightime for dining out.

Be careful with how much you pay at the hotel, I have been aware of lots of differing prices, I can get B&B for around £55 through a web site I use, if you want the details send me a PM.

Not used the Alicante directions as always fly into Murcia, at least I have up until now!

Brilliant!
At least now I know where I'm heading for!!    I've managed to get it £60 for a double room but that doesn'tt include breakfast.
Only there for one night so eating out won't be a problem.

Thanks again

Are any of these roads toll roads or are they all free?  We visited back in April and we used what we thought was the new road - but we had to pay to use it.

Thanks

FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless they just haven't built the toll booths as yet, but no evidence of having to pay at all!!!  Good old Spain.

AP-7 is a toll road (just remember the 'p' for pay).  The A-7 is free
