hi Phil and Ann,
thanks for the welcome.
the market we went to was called zocco's market up in Orihuello direction in a place called Benjiofar. It was excellent and had everything, you name it hey ad it, and when you get tired of shopping you could get a beer or a bite to eat. There are regular markets on all over our region just try a google search.
cheers,
jake and mary.

Last time we were over (20-23 June) we went to the market in Mazarron centre. Held on a Sunday morning, we were impressed, different to the usual "tourist" markets, more for the locals, worth a wander.

Hi
While loosely on the subject of markets and Mazzaron, I seem to recall a thread where there are two areas of Mazzaron. One being where PW seem to take people and the other which is the actual port and marina which apparently is far more prettier. The person posting the info also said that it can be a bit tricky to get to.
Can someone who knows the area reply with any information that can help. I would like to start going there and would hate it if we missed the best bits....!
Thanks
Phil

Alot of the agents and Polaris take you to Bolneuvo which is where the eroded rock formations can be seen, this is right next to Mazarron.
Puerto Mazarron is a great place to go and they are spending vasts amount of money on the sea front area doing it up with bars & cafes. There is a new underground carpark so its easy to get parked if you can find it. Took us 3 visits before we actually got to the front where our agents took us for coffee. AJW did a posting on the completions thread (I think) of how to get there. If you have a sat nav, I've put the co-ordinates on the Sat Nav thread.

We have also decided to do a sheet with lots of handy info on - so everything is in one place. Only problem is can't find half of what I'm looking for.....Shame there's not a search facitlty on our development forum like there is on the general forum.
What I'm looking for is the directions to the underground car park at Mazarron and the beach at Bolnuevo?? Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have been sat for ages looking through loads of threads but get lost when there is more than one page of info - Next/Last/Previous I'm going cross eyed going round and round in circles!
Thanks

Hi Jane and Mark
I didn't know there was an underground car park at Mazzaron, we found it a nightmare trying to park when we went.
Is any chance you posting me directions please.

Hi All
Sorry didn't have time to put on forum, at work.
The directions to the underground carpark are:
Follow the RM 3 all the way to the end, at the roundabot go left and follow the road to Bolneuvo, at the roundabout when you get to Bolneuvo, go left and follow the road into the port approx 1.5 kms, you will get to another small roundabout, go straight over and about another km (you will be in Puerto de Mazarron) You will get to another small roundabout. There will be a susupermarket on the left and looking to the right is the information centre, go straight over again and and about 30 mtrs take a right where the road bears to the left and back off to Mercadona. Down this side street to the end which will bear right and the underground carpark will be right in front of you. For those of you who know where the New marina is in the port, it's under the open area next to it.
If you are coming in from the Mercadona end of Puerto de Mazarron, past Mercadona and Lidl and down the hill, the the turning left is on the slight bend before you get to the last round about mentioned above. The above seems long winded but it misses out Mazarron town.

Hi again
Phil was asking about info on the area. Mazarron town council, which covers Puerto de Mazarron and the surrounding area, have and English version of their web site. It is very useful, giving details of festivals and events, street maps, beaches, history of the area and much more. The link is www.mazarron.es/ingles/
I will post this also on a seperate heading on the forum.
