hi to everyone and congraulations, we are new to contributing to the forum although we have been reading with interest for some time.let me start by saying i think we have all bought into something really special and that i would not have any concerns whatsoever as to the future sustainability and long term future of he overall project. Was over in May, the development is looking fabulous. Having travelled over with parador proerties on july 06 to be shown a green field site, to now successfully completing by way of POA is fantastic. The one problem we had was with parador not showing up for the snagging, they said they did not get my fax giving them authority to do so, how convenient. not a lot of value for your money there. On follow up trips we have done a lot of leg work as far as which way to go on furnishing the property etc. We are lucky in that respect as we have friends who bought last year in hurchillo and have gone through the whole process. they brought us to one of the markets in an open field where you could get everything from a spoon to a bed, all new.having also looked at the many furniture packages on offer i can honestly say there are huge savings to be made running into the thousands over a whole property.White goods at carrafour are a steal, 1000rpm washing machine at 200e, fridge freezer 259e, tv 249e, microwave oven 59e. while their food stuffs are great value you can do better at Eroski, this is where the spanish shop. While the sat navs are a great gizmo and may be a great help in most cases they will not cover everywhere as the landscape is changing so fast with all the new motorways etc. On the topic of air -con, do as the spanish do,they dont use it. if you intend living there full time just use fans, become acclimatised, having flu in summer is not nice, going from warmth to cold all the time.In winter get a few heaters of some type
BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE,
may meet up when we are over on the 28/July- 20 Aug
