Just returned from DV. What a great place to have an apt, as holiday home or permanent living, we are sOOOOOO locky. We have Spanish neighbours next door and above us. Makes for a better atmosphere especially around the pool all mixing and practicing our Spanish /English as we enjoy the sun and splendid facilities. And the life guard....what a great guy(Argentinian), helping us with sun beds as he exchanges his little English with our even less Spanish. It is getting busy but hey as more apts complete and believe it or not young Spanish families are choosing DV as their permanent home it may be that another pool will be on the agenda cum 2009!!! Not seen any Germans but have seen towels sunning themselves on the pool beds?
Regularly used the paddle courts over the past couple of weeks no problem. Yes a group of people did use the courts earlier in the year but I have not seen them for some time.
And our new aea lady Natalia, what a great person. Sincerely hope she stays as we have a good one. Thanks Natalia.

Welcome home you lot. Bet you cant wait to return. We have been unsettled since returning and keep counting the weeks until we are out there again. You got to see the roads done and use them! Hope we can keep the lifeguard as you say he is such a nice guy.
See you later in the year
Best wishes

Yellow Lines - excellent.
Does that mean people won;t leave their vehicles parked on dangerous bends?
I think not. - unless A.E.A. have bought me a traffic wardens uniform and (ticket pad) which I would take great delight in wearing (and using) on my visit.,
Always wanted to give out tickets for crappy lazy parking.

We need to make it a community rule no parking on yellow lines except unloading furniture etc. Buy a clamp and have a 200 euro fine etc. We may be able to raise some money for bubbly at the shareholders meeting etc.

Jeff,
"raise some money for bubbly at the shareholders meeting etc" - a splendid idea to encourage attendance.
Anyone,
Do we have a date fixed for the next AGM. Some of us like to book flights six to nine months in advance.
I've already booked end Sept and Nov. Somehow I think the AGM will give me a slip once again.

It was agreed at the last AGM that the next AGM would take place on Friday 19th September 2008. We have our flights booked so we can attend. We are in DV for 11 days from 17th July 2008 hope to see some of you around the pool area.
Best Regards Chris & Chris

Yes, I realised my mistake after I had sent the message. We had been talking about Uruguay beating Brazil, a senior moment, my apologies to all.
You continue with the sun cream and shelter from the hot rays, we have to make do with an umbrella as we dodge the puddles.
Enjoy DV.

Hi Everyone
We've just returned from DV and had a very enjoyable break with some great weather. We got to see the roads done and they were looking good when we left. Can't understand though why so many cars are left on the roads when everyone has an allocated parking space in a garage. Some people even double park opposite the garage entrances which makes it really difficult to get in and out. I don't know how we'll manage when the car parks get busier though as we had a problem with someone parked next to us over their lines which meant that we couldn't park wihin our space and get to our lock-up.
