Hi All

Just to let you know what the Town Hall position is on what you have to do to get your pool and garden works legalised on the development.

Unlike other developments where you can begin works while the official paperwork is being processed here they are following the letter of the law.

This means that nothing and i mean nothing can be done to your plot without the appropriate paperwork having been  completed and approved in advance.

Having spoken at length to the Chief Technical Officer he tells me that the turn around time from the Town Hall receiving your  pool project from the architect having been stamped by the college of  architects first is 4 to 5 weeks.

Basically this means once you add together the complete timeline from initially getting your plans drawn to final Town Hall approval, if you want to be swimming in your own pool for Christmas you will need to get things going before September!

If you want to know more information have a look at Amandas site....It´s worth organising things now so at least you know where you stand and when you can get things done.

Regards

Yes any works undertaken.

The work you are talking about will need a small works licence from the Town Hall the fee will be based on the tonnage of gravel/area to be covered and what you plan to do with the blocks ie: build a wall (which may need permission dependant on height, the town hall will dictate what is an acceptable height) or if you are building say an outdoor kitchen or storage area.
