To all those in Jardin 5, just wondering which one of us is first to complete.

We originally had a date of 31st July but Polaris have now informed our solicitor that our habitacion certificates won't be ready until August.  As we are out on holiday until 9th August, he has rearranged the completion for 7th August in the hope that the certificates will be ready before that date.

We are still doing our snagging on 30th July.

We are still hoping to complete on 1 August but will check with Solicitors tomorrow!

Perhaps we will have to take shovels with us to make the swimming pool bigger?!

Hi Mike,Kelly and Lynsey
Just been talking to PW customer services to request a move to another jardin. She said PW do know that clients on 5 are not happy and a lot have already requested moves. She is calling back on Monday with other options. Will keep you informed

Hi Dave,

Keep us informed.

Similar thoughts are going through our heads but we've decided that we can't really do anything without seeing it first.  Wonder if there is a cut off date when they will no longer accept a transfer to another apartment.

Think we drew the short straw when we bought 2 years ago.  We bought our apartment to be near the town centre, which has now been moved.  We liked the idea of having 2 swimming pools, which have now changed.  The only positive thing for us, personally, is that we have gone from having a playground view to that of the swimming pool.

PW seem to get away with quite alot through the off plan purchase.

I thought I'd read, but can't see it now, a comment about PW saying the Council didnt want so many pools. But these pools would have been on the original plans and I imagine approved. If they weren't approved then they should have removed them from the models and individual garden plans a long time ago. Could it be misrepresentation- or can they use the 'off plan' card again?

The bbq area's just disappeared- not that is of any real concern as they were probably a health and safety issue. But they did just disappear.

Just spoken to our solicitor, still on schedule to complete on 1 August with snagging on 31 July.  Will be interesting to actually get on site and see what the pool situation is all about.  I'll take plenty of photos for those that haven't seen it.

Hope that this is a mountain our of a molehill, who knows there may be another digger making a pool as a type this?

Fingers crossed for a successful outcome, at least the sun should be shining on Jardine 5 which is more than it is in Leeds at the moment!

Lindsey

Well,  I can only agree that its disappointing about the missing pools and the Foro. But there's lots of positive stuff too and the pics dated 11th July are good -can just imagine the Jardines once the plantings and shrubbery really get established. I see some pics show bouganvillia already planted against some of the pillars in the ground floor apartments . That'll really help the buildings look settled in.  On another thread someone has said that the new Foro should be up and running in a couple of months which will be great.

Hi fellow fivers
Just been banging my head against a brick wall (its actually called talking to PW Customer Service) As you may know we asked for a move off jardin5. They would do this for us for the sum of 6500 euros plu s tax. They stated to buy a 2 bedroomed apt. todays price is 6500 euros more! 131000 todays price. We stated that it was their fault which caused us wanting to move. We asked what price our apt. would be sold for they said todays price, so we pay 6500euros more and they sell our apt. for 6500 more to a new client 13000 euros extra for PW not bad bit of profit for upsetting clients! I said we will stay if they put sand down as to make it like a beach and we can look at the pool as though the tide is out!

Not sure when everyone else on "5" is completing, but we are due to be out there next week, completing on Friday 1 August, we just hope all the alarm has been about nothing and we will find a massive pool, and perhaps even another one in the making?!  We will report back on our return.

Perhaps we will have the "sunniest jardin" as a compensation for losing the second pool???

Surprised at the extra they are asking for another apartment elsewhere- not reflected in our valuations. Is this to put people off moving to another Jardin? Maybe this pool is larger than the others but the perspective doesnt give that impression. What have owners in the other Jardin to loose a pool thought about the size of their one pool?

I think the 'off plan' card clearly gives far more leeway than expected and wonder when 'off plan' ceases and they cant do those sort of major changes. I know when La Torre got the supermarket it was not what the owners of the villa's close by had expected to be at their front door.

Lyndsey- good luck. It will be great. The pics show the Jardines are set up real well, they just have to mature. Hopefully the pool will seem less of a problem when you are actually there. Other than the peak summer weeks the Jardines may be quite quiet and the pool size wont matter then.
