Personally not booking anything until we are 100% confident our house will be ready - having waited 3 years we won't quiet believe it until it happens!

Hi all, 

We are in our house on phase 1 at the moment and have been here for just over a week. If the changes we have seen since we have been here are anything to go by,I think you should all start booking your flights now! After waiting almost 3 years, I have to pinch myself every morning to believe we are actually here.We will be here until 1st Sept so will keep you posted as to further developments. The complex is beautiful, the pool is in on phase 2/3 and filled, the garden areas are planted up and the childrens play area is ready. There is a lot of work going on but as phases 1 to 3 are complete, or almost, it doesn´t seem like a building site. San Juan is busy at the moment but not overcrowded and most of the people are Spanish, we have hardly spoken to another English person. It wont be long before you can enjoy your new homes in Spain, you will be glad you hung in there. Lynn

Do you think they Know when the whole site will be finished, we are on Phase 7. Great news all round, I would have liked to go out and have a drink or two with hearing the good news but I am stuck offshore on a Rig at the moment so will have to wait. Have you actualy moved into your house as I thought there were no liceinces issued at this present time, also is there any mossie's in the area as we have been 4 times but each visit was in Winter or spring time. Do you know if they are still building the shops and cafe's at the front of our estate. We are into our third week in San Juan now with two weeks left to go and I can't say I am in any hurry to go back to the UK> My husband Jim went home last Friday and is coming back on Thursday and can't wait, he said it hasn't stopped raining since he went home. The girls in the sales office say that the whole site will be finished by March including the shopping centre. This will be a one storey building with a supermarket ( Aldi or Lidl or one other, can't remember the name) a hairdressers and cafe/bar, plus other shops) I know that they have been promising this for years now but having been here for a few weeks and seeing the progress, I am hoping that by Easter it will no longer be a building site! We havent been bothered by mosquitos or flies which was a worry for me as I was badly bitten when we were here in June. As I said before it is busy in August but not overcrowded and its easy to eat out and get served at the bars. We were able to watch the Liverpool game on Spanish tv in our house on Saturday much to my boys delight even though it wasn't a great game, thank God for Torres! Will keep you updated if I can tear myself away from the pool, Lynn- Liverpool

Good to hear everything is fine for you over in SJ. Thank God for Torres as I am an armchair Toon fan!!!!!!  Who got a brill result at Old Trafford on sunday.

 We are buying on phase X, which is going to be looking onto shopping ctr. When you say it will be a one storey building, is this only ground floor or is there a floor above as well? By the way we are plot 135, six in from left hand side as you look at the site. Any photo would be greatly appreciated, hint hint !

Hi Ray & Ann, Tha staff at the sales office said that the shopping area will be just one level with nothing above so the view from your roof should not be spoiled and you will still be able to see the sea. I will try and get you some photos of your plot but wont be able to post them until we get home in early September as we haven´t got the camera adaptor with us. The place is looking really good and the communal areas are great. We have had very few problems with the house and the snagging list is very small. Speak to you soon, Lynn
