Hi All

We have a couple of guests who are flying into Alicante airport soon on a visit to Roda Golf. They are an elderly couple who do not wish to hire a car and drive to Roda therefore are looking for the easiest and cheapest way to do this.

Anyone got any idea on how easy it is to catch a bus from Alicante airport and where they would connect to Roda Golf. How much would this cost and how often do the buses run for this route?

Also anyone got any idea how much a taxi would cost from Alicante airport all the way to Roda Golf?

Hi June,

We were quoted 85euros to collect my son from Alicanti to Roda.

It takes approx 1 hour by car so i would suggest it would be much longer by bus.

I have used a lady called Olivia on my previous trip to Spain, she charged about 50 euro from memory. She is very knowledgable sorry I do not have a number.

Thank you both for information. I have contacted Olivia to get a quote so can let you know how I get on if you wish. Our guests do not travel out until November so have a bit of time to check out various options for them.

We travel out to Roda next week and sooooo looking forward to it - can't wait!

Hi all,

Take care using unlicenced transport to & from airports. There was an article in the local paper here about the polic clamping down on illegal "taxis". Massive fines for drivers (6000) & passengers (1000 each). Police have been known to stop cars entering airports & quizing the driver about his passengers / friends. Make sure the driver can name you if stopped!!
