None of the road upgrades under re-construction (alongside Peraleja, HR and the link up to Sucina) are still anywhere near completion...usual diversions still in place....and they have just started another stretch of serious digging further along in front of Peraleja.... so be careful...the construction traffic is getting worse.

The major new road construction now in the area of HR is actually for the new San Javier - Murcia (Santomera) Autovia which is replacing the MU301. The whole of the MU301 is now yellow-lined under roadworks attention. They are cutting the wide route now through the hillside near the top of Sucina near the cross. You can see the route as swings out from the Ochando golf entrance on the MU301 and wide swing to by-pass Sucina on the HR side to a new intersection beyond the the top end of Sucina and then on up through the mountains. The replacement HR to Sucina road (where the 'old road' was) will join at this new intersection. There is a few years of work before this major infrastructure project is finally completed....and the massive 'tonka-toy' dumper trucks with dugout waste and earth-shapers are all over the place crossing the current diversion road to Sucina on temporary manual controlled traffic signs.

It is really quite a dangerous area now with all the construction traffic from the different road projects on these narrow temporay roads and it looks like continuing this way for a while yet.

It will however provide a massive boost in infrastructure around HR and connections to Murcia and San Javier/AP7 when finally completed, but in the meantime it will be very disruptive for a long while yet.
