Community meeting: date set for 11th Oct 2008

Earlier this evening I spoke to Ana our administrator and she has confirmed that the comminity meeting is going ahead on the 11th Oct. She was in the process of sending a collective email with the agenda details but was unable to do so, she was then going to  send the agenda individually to each of the owners. The agenda can then be added to by the owners.

For those who cannot attend the meeting they can nominate somebody to vote in their place, this can be another owner or somebody  else who will represent you at the meeting. This has to be done in writing, with the name of the proposed representive, your own name and apartment number and signature and either sent to the proposed person or to the administrator.
I know Helen, who posts on the forum will be in Spain for the 11th and will accept proxy votes for people who cannot attend. If anyone else will be out  for the meeting and is willing to take votes for those who cannot attend please let us know.
Myself, Helen and Pauline can be contacted by pm and email addresses can be issued to those who want to transfer their vote by proxy.

I have received an Agenda for the meeting on 11th and a "Proxy Vote Form".  So if anyone does want a copy please PM me with your email address.  I will be attending the meeting so I will be quite happy for you to return the completed form to me and I will vote on your behalf. 

I will personally be requesting for  the pool and the Spa to stay open 12 months of the year until the community is more established and we have a better idea just as and when the they are getting used.  Once this is established we can then ascertain whether we do need to keep them open 365 days a year or not. But I do think we need to give it a little time to run to let people get established and to be given the chance to use the facilities as and when they please.  Obviously if we find that no one uses the pool at all between December to February for example then we can ammend this but the difference in cost may not make any significant difference anyway.

If you do want me to vote on your behalf please return your forms to me before the 9th please.

We need to know how you will vote on other issues as well, before passing our votes on to you, as you will be voting on our behalf, I believe, on everything. So views on satellite dishes for example, or will you only use the vote for issues to do with the swimming pool?
Sorry to put you on the spot and I understand if do not wish to openly disclose these views.

I feel like I am touting for votes for Prime Minister !!  Well thankfully I'm not and I am really just trying to help people that can't be there.  Obviously I have aired my views on the pool and spa so either people can agree or disagree with them.  If they agree then I will gladly vote on their behalf. maybe it can be noted on their proxy form that I have their permission to vote on pool and spa only.  With the other issues, I can only put my own personal views forward and anyone else who either gives me free rein with their proxy vote or I already have contact with and we have discussed.  To be honest I don't want to be put in a predicament where I am having to proxy vote for everyone on every issue  so maybe people should contact Fincadelia direct with their wishes.  I am obviously in contact with a few other residents and as we will probably agree on all the issues on the agenda before the meeting then I would imagine they will give me their permission to vote for them.  At this stage unless we have agreed the issues on the agenda first then I would rather you didn't give me your proxy vote because I don't wish to be blamed for making any wrong decisions.  In a nutshell apart from the people I am in touch with the best I can do is to put foward your vote for the pool and spa if you agree with my suggestion.  If not then maybe you will have to contact Fincadellia direct to find out the situation if you wont be there to vote yourself.  I can't vote on everyones behalf unless I know what they want to vote for.  I will gladly give you my views on the items on the agenda if you wish to see if you agree but  I don't wish to create any more work for myself than need be by being made responsible for everyones views.

I didn't mean to make it sound as if I expected you to vote differently according to what each person wanted, of course that would be impossible! Just wanted to see if, without putting pressure on, we were in agreement on a couple of issues. Sorry!

It's ok don't apologise  I know you didn't mean that but I'm not very good and reading into things and am very much in favour of just coming straight out with it so I didn't realise you just wanted to compare opinions.  DOH!!  If you want to PM me with your email address (I thought I had it but don't seem to) I will gladly send you over my thoughts on the issues on the agenda to see what you think.

I am a VP on Thalassa & at our last 3 community meetings, I have held proxy votes on behalf of other owners.
