Hi everyone
As promised here is a brief update on my visit last week.
To be honest the progress visibly is not good. The purpose of my visit was to look at moving from my current phase 4 plot to one on phase 1. There appears to be a number of key issues at the moment. The first is any clarity / guarantee on delivery dates. I was told that the Esther's on phase 1 are being released at the end of October, frankly for this to happen there will need to be a minor miracle. I was last out in May and between then and now it appears (and as I have previously said I am no builder) progress is minimal. So how they are going to get this part finished by the end of October I can't imagine. There are no internal fittings, the vast majority of houses have no external finishes and more importantly there are no roads, paths or suitable access to the properties. I dread to think what it has been like with the recent rain!
I am like everyone else dying to get in, but from what I could see I could not even commit as things stand to moving to phase1 basically because of the lack of certainty to anything and also the fact that there is no commitment that the commercial centre will form part of phase 1 / 2. In addition little is being said about phase 3/4/5, which now, look like distant dreams. I would love to be able to report otherwise. But, as usual all I got was expected completion dates. The developer is committing to nothing and giving me, a buyer who is ready to do a deal, no basis to part with even more money.
The lack of commitment to the commercial centre was the clincher, as the site is all about being a self sufficient luxury gated community, and without a centre hub of shops restaurants and leisure facilities, it clearly does not now conform to that promise which we have all been sold on.
On a positive note and this is what makes it all so frustrating the show home is great the build quality good and the environment simply stunning. Furthermore, I am reliably informed that the builder is fully paid for the houses on phase 1 & 2 so there should be no issue with them being built, the problem is that a large number are either unsold, or up for resale, so draw your own conclusions
For those of you expecting to move out some time soon, I would advise caution before you make any life changing decisions. I would strongly recommend you visit the site and make your own conclusions, but for me the Finca Parc dream is a long, long way from reality.

Hi dbaile 732,
We have to disagree somewhat with your comments on the lack of progress on phase 1, as you are aware we visit the site on a daily basis meeting with clients and reps etc and see a great deal of work going on and good progress. As of yesterday we can report that over 90% of the Esthers have had the external Monacapa finished and work continues on the remaining few. On Saturday the main road at the top of the entance to the Esthers was prepared and finished with tarmac and the roads inbetween the houses are currently being cleared and prepared. The major works on each house has been completed, windows and doors fitted, solar panels being installed, just leaving the fitting of the kitchen units and sanitary ware, which anyone in the trade will know that these are left to last so as not to be damaged, plus they are not so time consuming either. During our visit yesterday gardens were being cleared and external garden walls were under construction.
Later today we have another appointment on site during which time we will take some more photographs and post on here. After speaking with the developer on site yesterday we were informed that there is another progress report due to be sent out within the next week.
We remain very optimistic that we will be having our Christmas Lunch here and celebrating along with all the other residents that will be making Las Higuericas their new home.

As I said, I am as keen as everyone else to see the project succeed. So let’s see if the developer finally delivers on a target date and gets all of the phase 1 Esther’s completed for handover by the end of October.
I look forward to seeing the photo’s and a further post from you, if you don’t mind, on the 31st to let us all know that the Esther’s have all been fully completed and handed over….

We were offered a very good deal from the developer for moving from a later phase that has saved us around 20,000,00 surely you must have been given the same option dbaile.
Our only worry now is that all of the investors that were only looking for profit and no intention of completing on their contracts do not jeopardize the project for the rest of us genuine people who are looking forward to moving into our new homes.
There are so many negative people on here probably with their own motives but please also remember that this is not a money making game for everyone this is our new life at stake.
Please be assured that as soon as we move into our new home pictures will be posted on here for all to see and hopefully we will make some of you envious too, we would also like to add our name to the Christmas Party list even if it is going to be a select few.

We visited the site on Saturday and were very pleased at all the building that had been done since our last visit early July. it really looked like things were progressing at a much faster rate on all the phases not just on our phase 1. The Esthers were looking very attractive in their different pastel colours and the area was looking particularly beautiful in the bright sunshine. Yes , we have been disappointed at the dragging on of completion but it is only superficial work that remains on the Esthers which ,if the builders pull their finger out can easily be finished in a few weeks. We felt a lot more positive after this recent visit. So much more had been done than between any of the other visits we had made, Its definitely all coming together alot better. Look forward to those festive drinks between Christmas and New Year.

Hi Kabri
I was offered the same option, but without the commercial centre, nor any guarantee on timelines for delivery of this or the whole project, then unfortunately this for me is not what I was sold and happily bought into, and thus I am still hanging in there until the developer comes good with their commitment to deliver my phase 4 house.
I sincerley wish all of you well and hope phase one delivers, but dont forget the promises which were made for the full package and for which we all paid top dollar.
1. Luxury gated community
2. Shops, restaurants, health centre, heated pools
3. Watersports
4. Excellent rental opportunities
5. BANK GUARANTEES
Kind regards

I can feel another visit coming on its been a couple of weeks since our last visit but sounds as if a lot of work has been going on, good to hear. ive been informed by one of our mutual friends that i come across as being a bit of a grumpy old know it all, well thats better than what the missus calls me lol. On a serious note though its good to hear that there are a few of us that are looking forward to a new challenge, I get the feeling that i maybe expired before all the promised facilities transpire but what the heck there are plenty of local facilities to enjoy in the meantime, ie fishing, walking, white water rafting, bike ride, quick half at the local bar, rock climbing, another quick half before lunch, thermal baths and a round of golf before the evening keep fit class in the local bar, anyone interested in joining the LH dart team ?
