Hi,I'm over with friends in a few weeks time and could do with directions.
I have been to Condado once but that was from Los Alcazares, and managed to get well lost in the process(due to the map-reader)
Can anybody give me fool-proof directions to Puerta Mazzaron,I take it that it's easy then to get to the Condado?
Thanks.
JdT

Hi Jdt
Here are some directions from Alicante airport.
On leaving the airport, follow the signs to Murcia and join the motorway
When approaching Murcia, look for a slip road to the motorway to Almeria and Granada. There is a big yellow sign with Arabic writing on it that marks to slip road.
Now that both the RM2 and the RM23 are open, you need to turn off the A7 when you get to Alhama de Murcia, this junction number is 627a, take the turn signed for Fuente Alamo and Bahia de Mazarrón onto the RM2 (be careful there is a 627b just before it which leads to an industrial estate). After about 3kms, take the slip road off the RM2, towards the RM 3 to Mazarron. After a short distance you will see Condado. To get to Puerto de Mazarron go on for another 10kms approx, you pass through Camposol. Go another 7kms and you will come to a roundabout, go left here and follow the road to Puerto, you could turn off the RM3 and go through the town of Mazarron and then on to Puerto, it is well sign posted.
Hope this helps
Mark

Hi Mandy
The distance from Alicante to Condado is approx 120kms/70 miles and should take around 1 hr 15 mins (ish). From Condado to Puerto de Mazarron will take about 15 mins or so.

Thanks to Jane and Mark for that info..
My big worry is that Geoff 357 will be navigating, and he couldn't find his a*** with both hands.

I noticed you said in your first post J. De Toot, that you were going to Condado de Alhama with friends, I thought you were coming along with me? I already said I didn't mind you tagging along behind us to Condado de Alhama and Puerto de Mazarron, but you are suddenly gonna change your mind and go with these 'friends',then to be honest,I'm actually quite happy too hear it. That's Class Tan, well spotted...... I think this Geoff '357', is probably John De Toot's imaginary friend..... We might also consider imagining friends too, if we hadn't any like de Toot..... This also poses the question, what ever happened to de Toot's fwend, 'Sammy D. Root'? Maybe he is also imaginary? Though you'd think JDT would have chosen a better name for 'Sammy D. Root' and what do you think the 'D' is for? Suggestions welcome....... I'm looking forward to the trip a lot Tan and I can assure you it will be thoroughly enjoyed by us all, except when J. de Toot is driving at the wheel of our hire car, as it took him and Sam d. Root, nearly 3 hours to get from Alicante to Los Alcazares in August, but i think it's great that he's willing to give it another try....... Ha Ha Ha (I bought a sat nav for this trip though)

sounds like he drives like I navigate! We circled around carrefour four times before we found the correct exit on the motorway, and it took us an hour to get from Murcia airport to mar menor! Anyhow do you reckon Sam is real cos he never posts on here does he? Maybe the 'D' stands for disappeared or Doesnt exist! Or delusional.......
