Sierra Espuna activities?

I know there was a thread a little while back about Sierra Espuna but I cant find it to start it up again.  I've found a web site that offers quad biking and para gliding and climbing and trail biking. Has anyone had the chance to do any of these things yet and if so how far away from Condado do you need to travel?

We went to the sierra espuna to try the quad biking but did not realise you have to book on line in advance.
It is about 20 minutes away from Condado and you don't need to go through the mountains, follow the road to Alhama. 
The hotel is situated in Gebas, on the C3315, which is the  Main Alhama de Murcia to Mula road.

Thanks Trish- especially the info about booking. I also thought it would be about an hour away so its great to hear my sons can get there in under half an hour!

      I think it's the Hotel Mariposa your looking for, they do quad biking, mountain biking etc. They also do a nice pint. If your going up there with your son's and want to have a meal as well they told us that it's alway's best to book in advance, we asked for a meal when there was only one table full but were told that they were fully booked as they were waiting for the trekkers, bikers etc to come back. If i remember rightly they do an hour quad biking with a 4 course meal for 35 euro's. Hope this helps.

They also do 3 hour walks followed by menu del dia for just 10€ on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of ever month - you must book. All their info is on the website link added in an earlier response.

Is this short drive taking you into the actual mountain area. This may sound like a daft question but I recall on an earlier thread that it was about a three hour drive and I wondered if we were talking about the same area.

No if you keep to the C3315 road heading to Alhama de Murcia  it keeps you away from the mountain roads, as we actually went through the mountains to the tourist information to find it, and we was coming back we realised we did not have to go through the mountains.

Just found a site for paintball www.murciapaintball.com if anyone has teens that are interested. Its listed as 35 km from Murcia, wonder which way! lol

Regarding the riding school, is it very far from Condado..?  Sorry for being too lazy to check myself, I thought you might know asn it maybe a question a few others may want to know.

From Condado take the road towards Murcia (away from Camposol) .. at the big roundabout, go straight across towardsLos Ventorrinos, La Costera is just past there. I think no more than 20 minutes drive.

On another point at the Village of Los Ventorrinos, there´s a nice restaurant (not cheap) called La Caverna, that´s done out like a cave - we call it the Flint Stones Restaurant. Great steaks & grilled meats & vegetables. Their phone number is 639.63.37.79

Lots of great info you've posted, thanks.  I've been out twice and still haven't made it to Camposol but I'm coming out on 10th Dec and am definitely going to make it this time.

I´m on Camposol A (That´s the left hand side of the main road as you head from Condado to the Puerto). I´m in between F&C Car Rental & Alan´s Supermarket. Open Monday through Friday 9:30am to 2pm & again 4pm to 6:30pm

Here,here to Allisons comments, from another Alison,  I have a typical teenager(I'm bored nothing to do)so I now have some ammunition to fire back at her although the next whinge(nobody to go with)but I am sure us on Condado can all get together and start some sort of youth club on Condado for them with organised activities.
