Here's a first !!

Hi All,

I have just received a credit, yes credit, to my Bank account (Bancaja) but I can't make sence of what it is for as the translation isn't very clear.

I have been cedited with 99.77 euros for liquidacion provision de fondos para tramitacion operacion hipotecar, which translates to something to do with "the bottoms of the mortgage" 

I am not complaining about the credit, very nice but would like to know what it is for, any ideas anyone????

Do you think something has got lost in translation?  I wish the bottom of mortgage would give me a credit.

Seem to remember that solicitors took out a rounded up figure to cater for all expenses and when everything had been finalised sometime a refund was in order.  Maybe it is something on that lines??  Don't think the 1.5 drop in interest rates has got to Spain yet?

I wish the bottom would fall completely out of the mortgage!!!!!  I have already had a refund of 450 euros after completion in July but this one has only just come just shows how much they over estimate when they want your dosh off you.......

No problem you're on !!!

We got told by our mortgage broker that they will always overestimate completion costs and then refund any surplus to your account. It's easier for them than underestimating and having to chase customers for the shortfall.
