Hi,
Does anyone have any info on how the "Credit Crunch" is affecting Polaris 25 Year Golf Debentures.
Wouldn't it be nice if they re-introduced short term memberships as we were promised during our initial search for properties !
If there is anyone interested in doing a deal on golf vouchers included in welcome pack please PM me and we can sort something out.
Dave.

This was a major hot topic and big negative on other forum sites, however I get the impression on here that like me most people have not bought for the golf ......
personally PW are dropping a major bollock (ooopppps) with the golf cityation with owners (thats like Man City and their situation with their idiot loyal season ticket fans during divvy3 years compared to now...........erm, that includes me) as they have priced it too high to date !

As a couple that play golf, we feel PW have dropped major DOUBLE ooopppps with the golf debenture. Even if we could afford it, there's no way we would buy it. There are other ways to encourage people to play their courses, ripping them off for life membership isn't one of them. Having said that, we look forward to playing the courses often (Hopefully). Martyn has already played most of the PW courses and rates them high. We don't want to be tied to just PW courses though. They have to remember there are a lot of golf courses and more being built all the time, in that area, so they have to be competitive with their prices.

I studied this while i was at Condado this week. My eventual plan is to move out permanently and play 3 times a week. From what i gather from the literature once you pay your 30,000 thats it for 25 years, no green fees at all. I calculated that this presents a massive saving on paying green fees 3 times a week. The problem is of course that like most of us i don't have that 30K lying around, although i have checked down the back of the sofa. Surely there must be a way for them to have different packages for different budgets? If it was say 2k per year or 8k for 5 years etc thats still a saving and they would get the readies up front.

pw did do annual memberships but dropped them this year.poor timing.i expect them to come back.we are trying to discourage people from taking the debenture so more chance of the annual membership coming back.last i heard only 6 had sold.
