Due to having two heart attacks when I was 40 (now 46) I bought on this development (phase one) with the thought of having a relaxing time and I made plans to retire in Spain at the age of 50 or so if all was well. I started working in Madrid one year ago to commence the change and to be honest I have concentrated all my efforts into ensuring my business was a success and I chose to turn a blind eye to all of the goings on at TH. You good people have spent hours researching and writing messages to keep us all up to date. I would like to post my thanks and say that if needs be I will join the group to take what ever actions are needed to ensure that we gain a satisfactory outcome from this ongoing saga. THANK YOU ALL

I am, I guess like you full of  emotions and beliefs, feelings, suspicion, anger, regrets, resignation, upps and downs, etc...

But I am very happy to have this forum and all of you contributors to discuss and  communicate with.

One day I am in the cellar and need to gather back some strength and the other day I hope I can share some of my strength amongst you others.

I think as long as we keep the communication going, it makes life a little bit easier for all of us.

well well, I was thinking of the future for me and all of you in spain. It seems that some of you still would like to have a place down in Spain to spend part of the year down there...then I was also thinking what our strategy could be. The most obvious one would be to get back the money, but it could also be some alternatives out there (remember i am just thinking loud and throwing out ideas)

- We could put the invested money into something else (buy or take over someone others misfortune???). We could discuss with GT what the options are. (I have started to realize the market situation today and I guess no sensible company would have to build more houses in Spain with all the available vacancies today). Maybe even GT have some other properties???what do i know.

I do not presently have a link into GT, and I would not consider myself as the perfect partner, not knowing the language (or culture). we should have some lobbying done or maybe someone from GT could post their thinking about the situation. (I know that is optimistic, but what the heck)

OGO, many thanks for your human approach for the present situation at TH. Some months ago, GT was introducing alternative from different GT controlled project for me, when asked for it. The difference between price levels were too high, so I could not utilize the chance. Talked with one lady in GT office, but she has left the company already. Please try to contact GT office directly on the way or the other, you may find the solution.               

We seem to be talking here as if all is lost.

Yet we have still the pottential of a positive vote and authorisation to build. Have to say whilst not giving the go ahead in full the latest updates have been the most positive for a long long while. So let's not yet give up although agree we must be getting close to the end on this and 15th Jan still seems a date by which we are going to know definitely one way or the other which way this will turn.

As far as building we have to remember that the project is pretty much sold (our money testifies to that) so bulding is not dependant upon trying to find buyers we're already bought in. On a positive note the downturn in the building industry in Spain of course leads to keener prcing by suppliers to be part of any large projects.

So we have a little bit longer to hold our nerves before we reach a final conclusion to take legal action or not. Although we need some very positive moves by the council & GT.
