Collections from Ikea

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of buying most of my furniture in UK and having it shipped out using Allen who some other members have used. However, a colleague has suggested ordering in the UK and then picking it up in Spain by using someone with a vehicle big enough.

I recall a comment in a old thread where there is a guy (Steve I think) that collects stuff from Ikea. Does anyone recall this and, if so, can I have contact details.

We used a local company called Flatpaxabia (look them up on the internet), and Steve is the guy who drives for them.  They were easy to sort out with, and you will deal with Rosanne and Bob who run the company

We ordered beds, sofas, mattresses, outdoor table and chairs, drawer units from them (all the big flat pack items basically) and had them delivered 3 days before we went out at end of October.  When we arrived, all were there waiting, even placed in the respective rooms!

They will do an assembly service too for a reasonable price.  I was skint so opted to do that bit myself.  Can honestly say that had no problems, did all dealings by email using an English catalogue which Rosanne then converted to the Spanish equivalent.  Paid the money and the rest was history!

Highly recommend them.
