Jet2 is a northern based airline offering cheap flights, based in the North of England but with bases in Leeds, Manchester, Blackpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Belfast.  They do daily flights to Murcia from Leeds in the Summer and 3 times a week in the winter.  Daily flights to Alicante all year round.

Really good airline, I would recommend them, but I work for them!

I have looked on the website and can see that only 4 vouchers can be ordered per household and to redeem you must call the call centre.  Does this mean that you would not beable to book on line and receive your online discount and input a code to use the vouchers?  What on-line saving is there for bookings as I presume that your booking must be made via the call centre to redeem the vouchers.

I have been on to the call centre, and was put on hold numerous times ,covering about 10 minutes . Eventually I was told I would not get the on-line discount as bookings have to be purchased via the call centre, and flights would be at least £5 dearer.  So between premium rate call, to purchase vouchers, recalling to book flights at a later date, and an extra £5 for not booking on-line, this is not such a wonderful deal.  I feel a little bit duped by Lindsey, who works with the company and said this was a wonderful deal.

Should have found all the facts out before coming to the forum.

If you don't want up to 4 £25 voucher for £12.50  each, paying £50 on £100 spend that is up to you.  The calls are 10p a minute for the vouchers.  I am a Yorkshire lass and do not get "duped" I get value for money. 

This is not an advertising feature, it is helping fellow owners get inside information on bargain flights.

I must be honest I don't see the "bargain" in the offer as it is limited to 4 vouchers, but having said that I was able to read the website without calling the number and gathered that it was only applicable to bookings made by telephone, which usually cost more than if your book online.

It is always good to find out about potential money saving offers, however I can see where Patrick is coming from as you do trust fellow condadians recommendations and feel a little disappointed when the offer isn't as great as you first thought.

Although I am based in the North East and fly regularly with Jet2, I won't be buying these.  If you could order more than 4 then definately, as I would feel the saving with that (Family of 5, would save £25 booking on line, book it yourself with no frustrating hold music, no stress, no cost of the calls even if it is 10p per minute.  Keep my money in the bank for now, gain a tad bit of interest).  
 

At the moment I am finding Ryanair very good even though I have to travel 120 mile to get the airport that offers the best price.  We fly with this airline next week.

Easyjet also have a sale, so I have booked my April flights with them.  I am finding jet 2 not as competitive at the moment.

Thanks for posting this though Lindsey as it is always good to know what offers for flights are out there.

Hi all,

I think most of us are a little bit wary of the low-cost flight providers and through experience know where a lot of the 'add ons' get slipped into the booking process. I myself have called and purchased £100 worth of voucheras at £50. I was assured by the sales team member that booking through the sales centre would only be £5 per leg more expensive than booking online on the same day. Half of this differential would be recouped by not having to pay a credit card booking fee. So all in all, still a net saving. I have noted details of the conversation date/time and will be holding Jet2 to this.

Well, I think I´ve had the deal of the year.....

Ryanair Alicante - Gatwick return, no hold luggage, on-line check-in - 10€ per person....... the flights were free of tax & I paid with a Visa Electron card so no extra charge...Just means I can spend more when we go back for the weekend.
