I think a problem with the lack of people joining forces against Calidona is the fear of what it may cost if we lose.
The problem of purchasers contracted property on Roda now costing much more than it is now worth and the massive drop in the value of investments/property in the UK to fund the purchase on Roda means that without help it is impossible to complete. Calidona should be offering more help by discounting property even though the original price is in the contract.or at least letting people walk away. We would lose in the region of 100,000euros already paid but worry how we could possibly raise the monies to complete as we are too old to get a mortgage. Calidona said to get relatives to take a mortgage for us so we can complete but that is not an option that is open to us. We don't know what to do as we know that we won't have enough monies to complete now because of the 'hits' on our savings and U.K. property and the exchange rates.
Could Calidona do what builders over here have done and do 'part purchase' where we would own maybe 75% of the property and rent the 25%?
As for the lack of facilities and the fact that the Beach Club is not purely for Roda Golf Owners anymore which is included in the price we are being charged. Also the time we have had to wait. Surely we are deserving of compensation.
Everyone seems to be keeping their 'court cases' close to their chests probably hoping that they will be lucky to get some form of compensation before this 'road' is closed.
Is there anyone out there who is winning against Calidona?
Is there anyone out there who is actively being taken to court by Calidona?
Has there been any outcome for such people?
Calidona can't get blood out of a stone so they should take some responsibility even if the global economy was not their fault. It has not been our fault either but we are the ones having to take all the fall out.
They SHOULD OFFER SOME HELP!!!!
