Iberdrola charges

Hi

There is currently a thread on the main forum regarding Iberdrola overcharging for the electric uesed. It seems that any English people got nowhere. However, one of the community members is Spanish and as soon as he got involved, money got paid back. It seems that both the electric and water issues that are cropping up could get resolved if we had someone who could talk Spanish and fight our corner with this particular issue.

Just a thought.......................

I have just read the thread too.

Evidently some of you are more " on the Ball " than I am , But this is what it said

I read in the latest edition of my local paper that Iberdrola had a meeting with Murcia Council officials and have agreed to refund overcharge amounts to customers quickly!

However, the customer must register a complaint to Iberdrola to benefit from the refund.

This is all about those people that felt their winter bill was excessive, indicating it probably was??

Hi, I've just checked our Spanish bank account online and we've been charged 55 Euros from Iberdrola.  I'm guessing this is our first monthly bill.  We were only out for a week at Xmas then 4 days in February.  Does this sound an ok amount?

I've emailed Iberdrola from their website to query and will let you all know when/if I get a reply.

It sounds a lot to me, how about asking in the sales center to make a call for you. Christina in there was real helpful with us when we needed some phone calls made to the town hall. Just a thought, if you are not here maybe your keyholder could ask them to look into it for you.

 hi just been on there website to get an email address but no joy.... we paid 150 connection in november and 122 euros in feb (must of been first bill) but was only there for 2 weeks!!!!!

Go to iberdrola.com click 'English' - 'Customers' - 'Contact Us'  They have a 24 hour hotline.  I've never used it so can't comment on their service.  Good luck.

I pay a standing charge of 10.78 euros every 2 months plus 1.14 euros equipment rental, all plus 16% IVA.

I believe it is almost impossible to speak to Iberdrola on the phone, unless you can speak fluent Spanish as they will cut you off.  I asked my solicitors to ring them on my behalf which helped enormous!

I have just recieved my bank statement.and Iberdrola charged 150.25 dec,( i assume for connection) then 11.24 E 18th dec,           then 27.12 E for feb... I thought the 11.24 may be for standing order but now I have no idea why I have different amount for feb.

We haven't been at the apartment since the day after connection and water and electric is turned off.   It's a mystery to me why I have such a lot taken out of the bank. 

Does anyone know how much the monthly standing chage should be?

I have just e mail solicitor to ask if they have any explaination.

ps. who or what is Deposit Maintainance Commission?? they have taken 17.25??

it seems everyone is dipping into my account and helping themselves to any amount they fancy.....
