I agree with whats being said by eveyone, but the point others are making is that this post is for the new shop and information about it that can help others.

It's not for slagging off Roda, even though we all agree with the comments, this post should just be for the shop.

I really do despair for Roda if owners who have nothing good to say have to use a thread posting good news about the minimarket to slag off and moan about Calidona. The same people who advertise on their own websites (see signatures) that they have a luxury property to rent on a 5* resort are the people who spend their time posting negative comments on this Forum. Do you think that your potential renters cannot read or cannot find this Forum? You are just shooting yourselves in the foot and doing no favours to  your neighbours and fellow owners.

I don't think that any of us have a problem with free speech and using the Forum properly but to be constantly griping on a thread which is a positive affirmation of a very brave move by two people to open a business in the current market and provide both owners and renters with an on site mini market is an affront to all of us. 

JORED - Voicing concerns to the Presidents of any Phase is a waste of their time and yours as the Community or Administators do not have a remit which includes carrying complaints to Calidona - the volunteers who take on these positions have enough to do following up other issues which help the communities function on a day to day basis without having to email people to let them know that if they have problems with Calidona then they need to write directly to them.

To answer the question "Where else are we supposed to air our views?" I would say given the level of negativity - anywhere but on a public forum if you sincerely have the welfare of your investment in Roda at heart.

do you not think that the negativity is due in no uncertain part to calidona and not the owners , afterall in its current state roda is far from a 5* resort for a 5* resort you need facalaties which are sadly lacking .

i whole heartedly agree that the owners of the shop should be supported and encouraged in these difficult times and indeed are providing a much needed service to owners .

i was under the impression that this forum was for owners to communicate there views both posative and negative , i think it is worth bearing in mind that nobody appears to be negative about the resort , clubhouse , golf course . driving range etc , the negativity comes from the developer not delivering and construction delays none of which are the fault of the owners afterall if this development is not completed in its entirity you will be left with a quality golf course and clubhouse with relativly high density housing (phases 1/2 ) next to a motorway is that what you want ? or should pressure be brought for the developer to deliver ? the outcome is in the hands of the owners and looking through rose tinted glasses will not make the situation any better .

Whilst this is a public site do you really think that our potential renters will

a) find this site
b)Register on this site
c) be looking to check out Roda on a forum before renting

I dont think so and even if they do it is still a fantastic resort but not all the facilities have been provided in the time scale promised. it is still a great place to rent and if I rented a place at the prices they rent for I would be more than happy.

Sorry this is on the shop page but it seems to be relevent at the moment.

And I too which the new shop owners well and it is great we have something even if not the supermarket we were promised.

Sorry I have to disagree with you Searay but the negativity on this forum is entirely from owners ( albeit a small number) complaining about the lack of facilities which they were promised and want put in place irrespective of the current financial climate.  

I consider that I have a property on a 5* resort as I have a first class golf course, with a training and practice facility that is second to none, at my disposal and I can walk to the golf course, clubhouse and I now have a minimarket on site. My property is first class and I have a beautiful pool on my doorstep. I am five minutes from the beach, airport and town and have two fabulous Spanish cities within a half an hour drive. I know that there is a motorway near my development but I see it as part of the fantastic road infrastructure here in Murcia and not as a negative.

I, like Fairdues, can appreciate the wisdom of Calidona not building a hotel at the moment and believe that it is in everyones' interests to wait until the economy stabilises to move forward with this. I believe that we will get all of the promised facilities in due course and in the meantime rather than cribbing and complaining I am going to enjoy what I have and if this means my glasses are rose tinted so be it. 

If those who are permanently complaining put their energies into taking what they see as a legitimate complaint forward through the proper legal channels it would command a lot more respect than venting their spleen ineffectively on this forum and depressing the rest of us. We all know that the forum is just a sounding box and not a realistic place to make justifiable complaints so if you are serious go for it and stop just talking about it as it is making no impact here.

I again disagree and feel we all have the right to say what we want.

If you have no back bone and want to just accept anything thats fine but dont tell the rest of us what we can and cant say on this forum.

Some of us may be taking things up direct with caladonia it does not stop us from trying to get some support from other owners.

Hevs I have accepted a fantastic property in a fantastic resort that I fully believe in. I am content to wait for an upturn in the world economy for a hotel and I am also happy that the promised facilities of supermarket, restaurants and shops will be built in due course. I am not lacking a backbone because I simply have no complaints as the property which I have purchased and own on Roda provides fully for my needs and I do not require anything further.  

I have not tried to tell you what to say or not say but I have made the point that complaining on a public forum is a waste of time especially if you believe in the legitimacy of your case. You would be much better suited to take your complaints to the people who can do something about them and not keep on about them here where you are getting nowhere. You are much more likely to garner support by properly investigating your position and then putting it to any other owners who are equally dissatisfied so that you might do something about it.

and how do you put it to other owners without being on an open forum ? i thought thats what owners forums were designed for , like minded people to discuss common issues ? ( or is that only if they are posative )

Mr Lopez . Yes, work on the new shopping and leisure centre will start at the same time as work on the Hotel, bringing even more services to the Roda and Beach Resort. The centre will be open-plan and fully intergrated into the complex. In the basement will be a bar and centre services, the ground floor will have shops and Restaurants and the 3rd floor will house offices

You might be "Content "  But I am Phase 1  and want what was in the Brochure no more BUT certainly no less, then I to will be content and enjoy all that Roda has to offer me and my Family / friends 

I am happy for you to be Content after all its the "Lifestyle" we all want .

The last thing ,we have a group that are seeking legal advice re Consumer Law ,so to where do I go to get more purchasers interested ?

Jored, what do you actually want Calidona to do?  Build a hotel that nobody is going to use, surely you can see that any company building a hotel in the currect climate would be committing suicide.

Nice hotel now built, nobody boking rooms, but at least Jored is happy.

LP you are 100% correct.  I don't understand why people sound off on this forum about big issues like this. Go and see your lawyer. Put your money where your mouth is and take Calidona to court. Using this forum as an alternative to real action is no answer. I am waiting for court date regarding a legal claim at Corvera. I wouldn't waste my time moaning on a forum. What would be the point now that a court is going to decide? If all of you who are unhappy, and with justification I dare say , did something practical about it then you  would get on a lot further and give everybody else a break. Put up or shut up please.

You can bleat and whine all you want on the forums, the hotel is NOT going to be built anytime soon, the sooner you accept it the sooner you might just start to enjoy what you already have at RODA.

The reason you have to wait for the sports and leisure centre is beacuse you have to, stamping your feet is not going to make it happen.

I don't like the situation, neither does LP i should imagine, our view is get over it and start enjoying the resort.  when it happens it will happen.

My last post on this subject as it is now tedious and boring me to tears, i have a golf course and a nice quiet Phase 3 to enjoy

Has anyone read the title of this subject?  "SHOP NOW OPEN".  I can see everyones point of view but I don't think the messages are anything to do with this particular thread.

Please don't let this get to the "wangy" depths again.  I am sure he is reading this and having a right laugh!  If the people who are not happy get together as a group and try to achieve something through proper channels, then this would leave the rest of those who are happy to get on with the more day to day issues.
