Non Resident Tax

Our solicitors are offering to complete the return & calaculate the tax for 100€.  I haven't a clue how much the tax will be though. 

So far our solicitors from Alicante have been superb, so if you need their details please PM me.

We have a 2bed, 2bathroom apartment on phase 3, and we've just sorted out our non residents tax libility with a local solicitor. It wasn't due until the end of the year, but we just wanted to get it done and dusted while it suited us to attend to it).

Our bill was as follows:

Legal fees:    104,40 euros (inc IVA)  (to calculate & submit forms)

Taxes each    120,81 euros   (since both you and your partner each have to submit a tax return)

Total:               346.02 euros

While we were at it we also sorted out our Spanish wills, (with the same solicitor).  Note these have to be notarised - an additional expense.

We met our solicitor (who is english), in Jennifer Cunningham's Insurance office, on the Square, (beside the 525 Hotel), and were happy with the service provided.

Does anyone know how to get hold of the blank forms to complete on a DIY basis? Preferably a site where they can be downloaded from?

You may find this link useful, although we did end up going to a solicitor, once you have downloaded the guide getting the forms etc from this link is OK, but when you get to point of going to the local town hall your Spanish needs to be good as no one there spoke any English (not on the day we went anyway).

Our mortgage is with Caja Murcia and they told us that we had signed a form (don't remember doing it though) to say that we would pay all our taxes in the UK which we have done.
