Are you thinking of having a fan because of the condensation?
Roy & Elizibeth from Jardin 12 found out that there was no conection between the extracrion & the outside wall. It did mean having quite a bit of work done & there was some upheaval for a couple of days but I believe once the pipe was properly joined the problem was resolved
I know that they are on Condado roughly the same time as us, we go tomorrow for a week & I`m sure we will meet up.
Unless Roy see`s this thread & replies him self I will ask him exactly what the problem was & if you can wait I will add a thread for you
Jan

I had a fan fitted by Criag and Russel, as it was a real necessity, inthat , the condensation just filled up the bathroom when you had a shower.
There is no legal requirment for the spanish builders to put extractor fans in, they only need to have an outlet. Which to be honest, doesn't do anything as it doesn't draw the steam out the bathroom. Without the fans, water runs downs the walls and the whole bathroom is damp!
They also help me sort out the bad smells coming p from the pipes.
I'm very pleased now.

Just had our fan fitted by Steve( Endpeg)
I can highly recommend getting this fitted, it cuts down the steam swirling around when you have finished having a shower and stops the bathroom getting flooding from water dripping down the walls
Steve took around a hour to fit and the place was spot less when he left. Highly recommended.

Hi all
Sounds as if the fitting of an extractor fan is necessary, but could someone tell me is it ceiling or wall mounted. From the posts I'm not sure if the apartments have an outlet (ridgid or flexible?) to which the fan is connected or is it necessary to fit ducting to include drilling and fitting of a louvered grill to an outside wall. Also I take it that it operates when the light is switched on and is timed to run for a short time afterwards.
Thanks

Hi All
We re in a Jardin top floor apartment, and would like an extractor fan fitted in the bathroom when we are over in April. Would appreciate contact details of those who are qualified and able to do this.
Many thanks

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if a ground floor appartment has the ducting for the fans?
Has anyone had one fitted and at what cost?
Thanks,
Steve.
